I discarded the DAX as a solved market as soon as the early 2010s.

Ok so I do have to explain it. A LOT of stocks are trash. Dividend stocks are typically stable, mature companies that slowly increase in price over time. Of course I'd rather have proven, stable companies in my portfolio than just throwing a dart at a board and picking random non-dividend stocks. You have to pick good growth stocks. There's more risk, but far more potential reward.

Your argument is that dividend stocks have less growth potential than non-dividend stocks which is patently untrue. Some of the best growers out there pay dividends. You pick a stock that doesn't pay a dividend, and you are more likely to lose in total return to someone who chose a dividend paying stock. It's as simple as that.
