I have a quandary about investing in my future that I would like /smg/'s opinion on.
I have been offered a date for woman through a mutual friend. She is legitimately a 2/10 in terms of looks who I would never find attractive, and has a deadend job, but her parents are absolutely loaded ($10m houses, monthly trips abroad, $100k/yr schools kind of loaded). Right now I have QT for etfs and options, TD for buying short-dated fixed income, and forex (Blueberry Markets specifically) for trading forex and metals. I don't like CAD exchanges because they do not let me set a trailing or market stop, it needs to also have a limit attached. I prefer to set a trailing stop equal to 1.5x ATR and adjust it once it hits my TP. With IBKR I might just use it for my option trading platform. QT has a good variety of etfs and the no fee for buying is attractive to use it for investing with broad shit every once in a while. TD doesn't have US etfs.

I transferred 100 shares of WMT (pre split) from my comptuershare account to QT, then started writing covered calls on them for a few months. The goal was to get another 1-2% per year on them in a TFSA via safe CCs.
TD actually had a $300 promo if you transfer in $25k or more, so that's what I did. It unfortunately has about $30k of my wealth in there and QT only has about $3k now.
