You're not the only one who can't afford it. In the UK (or is it England?) the average house price is $420,000, and only... I think it was 1 in 4 middle-earners aged under 30 can now afford to buy a place of their own. Having your own house, not rented I mean, is rapidly becoming a luxury. It's better to just live with your damn parents forever or live in a fucking van, than pay some smug faggot rent.

When I was a kid in the late 80's and early 90's, it was expected that, if you went to and finished university, you should be able to get a career job and a house by 25.

Now i'm 34. I got the damn degree. Career job was hard to get and it paid shit anyway with no chance of promotion. Quit job, got different unrelated job that pays slightly better than shit. Still can't afford a house and at the current housing market prices I would need to make $100k/year just to get a detached instead of a condo. This remains unchanged even if I move an hour out of the city and do the commute. It's fucked. Boomers destroyed everything. Where the hell is my firm handshake job straight out of highschool that pays for a house, two cars, supports wife, and 2.5 kids?

So i invest in high risk shit like crypto and weed stocks because i'll be renting well in to my forties if I don't and the housing market stays the same.

I'd recommend doing these first steps:

1.) Don't finance anything new

2.) Go talk to a lender and get preapproved

3.) Get a real estate agent and have them set you up on a client portal

4.) Pick the ones you like and go see them

5.) Make an offer, get offer accepted

6.) Get your inspections done, don't freak out at the report

7.) Proceed or back out

8.) Let the lender do its thing, let the underwriters carry out their autism, get final approval to close

9.) DON'T FINANCE ANYTHING DON'T FINANCE ANYTHING DON'T FINANCE ANYTHING

10.) Go to settlement at the attorney

Also make sure you have closing costs covered, depending on type of loan they can be ~5k give or take a little. You can also ask for closing costs from the seller if it's a slightly slower market. If the property is in multiple offers don't bother asking for that

I have only ever seen gentrification used when talking about whites moving in to "outprice" the "poor welfare leaches"

>crypto?? what are you talking about anon
I am saying that there is a new "class" of non leftists that made off with shitloads of money that will be influencing the world and local politics since money runs the world. I take solace in the knowledge that most of them were libertarian, centre or right wing - lefties being more interested in the here and now rather than looking into potential future scenarios.

>>7865140
>The same white family lines now cant afford a house, this has nothing to do with race
This has mostly to do with immigration and the fact that whites are now competing for jobs resources and shelter in their own countries against the never ending masses of the third world. If there wasnt an abundance of cashed up foreigners buying up property, prices would not be so high.

>> No.7865218

and protip, part of gentrification succeeding is these arabs actually moving in for the price we have set for them

it's class, anon. high class gets the high living. period, dollars dont care what color you are, and the people taking your x10 rent for a penthouse definitely dont care what color you are

its funny how a process which doesn't actually affect the poor at all is somehow all about minorities for you - if you cant afford to live somewhere, you gotta go live somewhere else

you have wealthy people to thank for that. not all wealthy people are white.

If you think about it, why would you want to own a house in your 20s unless it's to start a family? I could have a house now, instead I have a nice car, I have traveled everywhere, nice watches, clothes, shoes etc... if I own a house now I would have all this shit but much later in life. Spend the money you have now and enjoy your youth, all you have to do is save for 1 or 2 years and you can put a payment down on a house any time you like. They are throwing up thousands of shitty new build estates with houses made out of cardboard, where normies put down a 5% deposit and gov has 20% equity loan over your shitbox.

On top of that each new estate has to set aside a percentage of houses for welfare scum.

It's impossible to sell them because you pay new home premium and so many are being built no one wants to buy a second hand shitbox from you when they can get their own new wageslave box.

It boils water to an extreme pressure and generates electricity like any other electricity producing factory. You can power a house with one the size of a gazebo no problem. I have one measuring 15 meters in diameter. It's a self sufficient system even on cold cloudy days. Also, I do most of my business online. I use my parents home as a storehouse, and also rent out a house I bought on the outskirts of the closest city. btw, make sure to take advantage of tax cuts from using a space in houses as office room, that's what I do at my parents house.

This may have no bearing on your current situation, but I am 27 and make roughly $103k per year and still do not want to buy a house. In many cases, a house is a better investment than renting, but you really need to do the math. I pay around $650 rent + utilities, and my yearly housing expenditure is still less than the yearly taxes on my parents mortgage-free house. Considering most westerners buy houses which are way too big for them and cost more than they actually need, I imagine this happens to most people who simply don't want to do the math and simply buy because "that's what I want right now."

My plan is to save up, invest in crypto, retire early, and then spend time doing more of what I enjoy. After that point I may consider buying a cheap house and living frugally.

To answer your question directly, I think it is more a matter of responsibility than age. Only buy a house when you really need the space, like if you have kids. Otherwise, most people's houses are a complete waste of resources, energy, and space. The vast majority of people only spend time in two or three rooms of their houses, usually the kitchen, bedroom, and living area (TV, computer, etc.). Bathrooms are also a given. The rest of their time is usually spent outside of the house at work.

Do what you want, but don't feel pressured to buy a house just because you feel like you are behind on some sort of age criteria.

> don't feel pressured to buy a house just because you feel like you are behind on some sort of age criteria.

This is what I was talking about, our generation is being brainwashed into believing that a house is the only end game. I'm going to pimp a truck and travel the shit out of this hemisphere.

I have thought about doing this many times with one of those trailer microhomes, but I don't have the balls and am addicted to my high wagecucking salary. If I got laid off one day, I might reconsider.

And no offense, but those look kind of ugly. Those look like they belong to gypsies or maybe carnies. Not trying to insult your style, but maybe consider a more modern look?

>The rest of their time is usually spent outside of the house at work.

Unless you have managed to get enough passive income to not need work and still be able to do what the fuck you want.

Right now I'm still working, but with my crypto benefits, I believe that in two years at most I'll be able to retire and buy a fucking castle somewhere + a bunch of cheap apartments to rent and even some large company's shares in order to have some other sources of passive income.

Buying a place with many rooms then wouldn't be a waste, I'd spend most of my time in it. Though there'd ideally be a lot of time spent traveling too.

this. I grinded my ass off throughout my twenties to make up for the defecit of being born to a single mother who never owned property, as well as being unable to get a loan that would cover the high end colleges I was accepted to (I didn't end up going for fear of the insane loan structure plus out of pocket expenditures)

essentially had a nervous breakdown 3 years ago after non-stop 80 hour weeks. Have made a lot of money, bought a house in LA that's "doubled in paper value" and rent it out while I've started traveling. Making up for lost time as I never did the 'muh gap year' after highschool to 'find myself' on mummy's dime or 4 years of adult daycare at the local leftist indoctrination camps. Traveling sooner would have been GOAT.

Also - i'd wait for market cycle to contract, irregardless. We are in the midst of multiple bubbles at the moment and when there's a correction you'll be ready. Whereas if you buy now "at le top" you've got very limited upside and an illiquid asset whose paper value can vanish quickly, which is costly, time consuming and difficult to sell as it's predicated on a lot of factors including life circumstance.

Jesus... That house is smaller than mine. I paid $271k in 2009. The latest tax assessment pegs the current value at $377K.

No those are kiwi projects, those are hideous alright, could not find any decent example but you get the idea. Mine would be more like pic related but way bigger. Or waiting for the new VW Combi.

> tfw I realize I have actually slept a couple nights on one of those in pic related :)

OK I gotcha then. The old-school car plus caravan is not a bad choice, especially if you like that style.

Many Amerifags looking to go mobile theses days are opting for the modern log cabin look pictured here. It's a recent trend. These usually hitch on the back of a truck and can go anywhere with access to water and electricity (basically any trailer park).

whenever the housing bubble pops. i have enough money to buy a very nice apartment, but it feels like a total waste. retarded normies are paying fucking premium just to "live near the city" and (((they))) are laughing all the way to the bank, like always.
you don't buy a shitcoin at ATH, you don't buy an AC in the middle of the summer, and you sure as hell don't buy a house when there's a ginormous bubble going on that's ready to pop any minute.

I think renting is comfy. I’m totally gonna be celibate until i die, and i don’t want to take care of a house. Living alone in a small place is comfy. Having my own life as my only responsibility is very comfy.

I don’t reject god, i just can’t be emotionally attached to god, or any form of higher power. I see how atheism is some sort of activism against religion, but i don’t think i’m an atheist either. I just don’t dedicate myself to any religion, i don’t pray, i don’t thank god, i don’t do rituals, i don’t go to church, i don’t think about god. I don’t know if i reject god either, i just don’t want to think about it. I can’t deal with commitment

Yup I've seen that trend, some pretty nice little houses. Sadly or luckliy I live in a tropical climate, a wooden house might not be the best idea after all but I have not looked into the latest wood tech. Also wood based housing is not a thing around here, could be hard to find the talent to pull up something decent. Old American bus pimping otoh is starting to boom, might be the best route.

that's called agnosticism, which objectively is the sanest option. religion was created as a tool to organize people, a set of basic rules to keep society from falling into chaos. it's an insult against intelligence and progress, but i understand why it was necessary in the past.
