how does that work?
aren't bonds considered low risk lending, does the market become devalued by less trust in the underlying asset which would be the US Government or USD Fiat?

I bought some gold, but my boomer dad convinced me to invest in bonds and he can't explain how they work besides you get consistent returns but I'm skeptical and would rather spend the cryptogain I cashed out vs throwing it all in a bond fund
