I work at a shitty convenience store/lotto, and let me go ahead and give you the simple but obvious answer of NO. I watch schmucks come in and blow 200 dollars at a time on scratchers and win fucking nothing, and even when they do they just end up buying more lottery tickets, which amounts to more losses than winnings. And then they feel like they have to win it back, so they try again. And again, and again, and again, and again until I don't see them at the store anymore either because they finally wised up or they went completely broke from playing the damn thing.

Not at all.
I've actually won a grand though on a 20$ scratch off and I still play on occasion.
But that's the only way.
I only spend money I got for free or just happen to have. Like a few bucks or if I have some spare cash after a night out.
I never spend my needed, hard earned money on it.
