Is this what will happen for when we hit 6K? Itll bounce and people will think "Muh double bottom", only to rally and then crash back to a level half that of the double bottom a couple ofmonths later? (Pic related, 2014)

Yeah pretty much. The whales have the narrative of "bull run soon" and to buy the double bottom. Probably will manipulate it to go up around there and create fomo hard, and whenever all the suckers run out the dump continues, down to a new low. For sure, who knows how long tho

What do you mean 6 or 8 max? 6K? If we break 6K it's definitely a 4K bottom. I only see 1-2K if Tether ends up exploding.
