May 1st FED 2 day shit post special edition.

>where's the hedge fund?
A resident tripfag, obergruppenfuhrer (Comfy), requested that it be excluded until he gets the next version up and running. Will refund those involved. Stay tuned!

Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Wait for AAPL earnings, if he has decent earnings & beats expectations it will probably pump a bit before collapsing.

Dump it b4 AAPL earnings, if you expect it to miss. AAPL will pump semis or dump them.

Funnily enough my best trade of the year was SVXY through fall into winter.

In regards to the retirement account question - I disagree. I prefer to day trade in my Roth because I never need to worry about cost basis and I can day trade it forever without anyone giving a shit (PDT, etc). I can even buy uncovered calls / puts in that fucking thing. Sure, I can't use the money for a bit without paying a penalty - but the only real reason I'd withdraw from this account is if I needed money for an activity that qualifies for a penalty exemption (housing, medical, etc.)

so lets say you want to go 3x the S&P for a while. so you get 100 of SPXS or SPXU depending on poorfag status. you see a rally ahead, but want to keep your money IN. so rather than selling, you just write an ATM or ITM call, let your stock drop like a stone, buy it back when its worth nothing, and keep selling more calls if the S&P is really moving. collecting rent, so to speak, from all the speccs that are dicking around with short term contracts. meanwhile you get them losing intrinsic AS well as vega AND theta on the weekly contracts (which are brutal). best case scenario, you just made money while it goes down without having to lose your position and your entry. worst case scenario you get called away at strike (and this is only "bad" if you did a deep ITM call, where your entry is lower than your strike).

yeah youd only do an ITM one when you see a HUGE rally (which conveniently, since its an inverse fund, means SPXS/U is going to have a sudden spike in IV, thus, more vega to scalp).

I sure as hell hope so. However this is going to take some careful maneuvering. If we see a crash in equities I speculate we will see more money flow into safe havens like bonds and gold... This will cause yields to drop and gold to increase along side a decrease in the value of the dollar which in turn will cause rises in other commodities. Oil still seems like a great vehicle for trading under this scenario, but if this is the future of our market closing bond short positions for long positions would be a wise thing to do in the relatively short term.

To be fair, it's just a 3 month correction at this point. Hopefully tomorrow or this afternoon will be green and life will be good.

I think a lot has to do with Korea relations and nobody beating the war drum.

you might as well have wired that shit to me and let me daytrade with it. the chances wouldve been infinitely higher of ever seeing a return.

that theta is going to make you worthless by the end of the day, if it DOES reverse the vega will crush you, and it expires on friday.

you are a fucking absolute mong and you fully deserve what just happened to you (even if you dont realize it)

Well you can do 3 day trades in a 5 day span without being labeled a pattern day trader. Though you have to have a margin account to be able to do this. the way around this is you could hold a stock for a day or two and then sell. You do not want to be a pattern day trader unless you are able to have 25000 in your account, if you cant you'll be either locked out of account or limited in what you can do. similarly you do not want to be a "Free Rider" as this will cause your account to be frozen for 90 days.
