This is true, I seen some documentarys about several extremely wealthy areas and it was like all the high end houses were owned by uber rich who had full time staff that just maintained the home and would visit once a year or so. It was so bizarre because they even had the staff bring in freshly cut floral even tho no one was there to see it besides the staff who came in to tidy up and check on things. Some staff even mentioned that the owner hadnt been back in years, that level of rich is crazy.

Yeah its weird, I have gotten to work for a few really rich people (rich by my standards at least). They had their few things they liked to do but mostly they worked a lot.

1 guy was like president of ANB or something like that sure high up in that company.
Has a house in the really nice area of the city but also had just bought a condo across the street from the bank but hadnt moved in yet.
In his office he had a fold out couch and a shower...
I was working the night shift remodeling the 2nd and 3rd floor halls and bathrooms, go in at 5pm work til 2-3am. He usually went to dinner around 8pm and left around midnight if he left at all.

The other guy I built his play pen for some of his cars, really just a boys club. I would put him in the $1billion range...
but he came from a different type of money, slaughter houses and dog food plants.
He showed up in a different car everyday, white sl500, black sl500, New ss camero, rebuilt classic camero, same with his vette, 3-4 cobras... you get the idea. He actually didnt have anything fancy in his place, aside from tvs everywhere, even the bathrooms. Funny thing was he was willfully violating tons of local building codes and telling the city fuck you on the daily.
