a "currency" that's more centralized than EOS

How much Nano do I need to make it?

>> No.9602751

>>9602672
EOS is equally spread among 21 different block authors who are voted in. It's not completely decentralized but it's not centralized either.
If you look at the spread of created blocks (not block participants), EOS is more decentralized than bitcoin.
NANO will get a lot more decentralized with the new wallets I think.

>> No.9602893

>>9602751
Completely untrue. Bitcoin blocks are in fact mostly mined by pools, but those pools are composed of miners who can switch loyalty to other pools in an instant.
BTC functions the same way you'd expect a DPOS coin to - though the governance is effectively entirely off-chain and dominated by profit incentives.

I went all in around $8, feel fine about it, just going to hold of course. Same thing I did with NEO and there was all that China banning fud, cut to it 10x for me just by waiting it out for a few months, whatever, easy game

Unironically NANO will be a big player against IOTA next bull market.

TRX will go to shit.

Can you transmit data using NANO? It's my impression this is impossible and is a choice due to speed > everything. How are these two comparable other than both being DAGs, seriously?

>> No.9603204

>>9603172
Love both IOTA and NANO. I tried to use the IOTA api and got 10 MIOTA stuck in a non attached wallet address. Can't find out how to attach it.
Cool project but holy crap is it a more complex abstraction than NANO.
If I want to send money to someone p2p, nano is the obvious choice (once wallets are released). That's a pretty big market, maybe comparable to IOTA until fuckable robots.

No, NANO uses UDP packets that are optimized for value transport. There is no arbitrary data (that I know of) that can be attached to these packets.

>> No.9603299

>>9603264
So they aren't really in the same ball park at all in terms of project goals. NANO is better compared to BTC and other pure currency coins. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't get the comparison.

>> No.9603324

>>9603299
IOTA could assume NANO's use case but NANO is better tailored for it. EOS could also eat NANO but it is more about dapps.

Dumped 150k between 5$-35$ USD on the run up. Lost 20k in the Bitgrail hack. Bought it all below 0.50 cents so I don't give a fuck.

Will rebuy at $1 and hopefully get something back from the Bitgrail class action lawsuit in 5 years.
