I would say a lot of people on this board fall into this category. I have always been able to pick up on shit really easy and excel at it. You're probably the same anon from the other day but I'll tell you again - most (possibly all) hardworkers have a fear of failing set deep within them. It absolutely haunts them and can create destructive mood swings as achievements/work tend to be their last hope at finding joy or purpose in life.

That's why they try. People tend to see self made rich elites as lucky individuals who are naturally born ambitious but I just see the years of suffering and soul searching those guys must've went through to be what they are right now.

To give an analogy, all comedians are never inherently happy people. This could apply to most areas of society

Because of my work, I find myself in a lot of social occansions with very ric h people. Most of them seem to never be actually satisfied. There is even guys over 70 yrs old, worth more than a billion that just keep on working 5 days a week and still allowing their idea of 'the common opinion of people around them' influence their choices in personal matters. For example what car to drive. It just seems like the only thing they live for is this kind off alter ego they created for the out side world. Nothing wrong with it imo, if it makes them happy thats just fine.

Now the only rich ones that do truly appear to be relaxed an happy more often than not, are the ones born in great wealth and have lived up to dads expectations or the ones that simply don't give a fuck and keep doing what they like, since the money is there to do so
