Ya we talked about dominion like at the start of July. I had been holding from 13 and this doofus convinced me to stay in till about 17.

I don't buy something on other peoples word on here, but I certainly look into stuff if people talk about it a lot/in detail. The anon who was spamming MRO back in April caught my eye and made me like 10 grand.

Speaking of which. If IQ crashes its a buy at 26-27. If it manages to crawl up and have a good earnings I would try to get in around 35.50/37.20, those have been the walls on the last few approaches. They are releasing tons of PR's but are being sandwiched by manipulation and shaking people out left and right. On a positive earnings it may not raise right away as well, these Chinese stocks often take their sweet time trailing up for a month or two.

FB has installed themselves deep into the backbone of the internet.
FB has the top 2 social networks.

FB fucking shook off the biggest privacy scandal yet and decided to launch a dating service in the meantime.

this is the reason their stock is going down
https://www.secform4.com/insider-trading/57725.htm
see the option reward section; around 16,000 shares of LCI being doled out to 6 people last few days

that's 16 thousand times 6 directors, not only that but on January they gifted half a million to a 10% owner
all of these stocks for a total of zero dollars; plus they're cutting their R&D (downsizing their subsidiary Cody Labs)

true that their enterprise value is 1.5 billion dollars; but half of that is goodwill and intangible assets; short volume is high which can be well squeezed so the play is up to you
It's an extremely risky play to trade, and I think you can find better than a coin flip

You caught me in my pajamas. Ya I mentioned that it had dropped because they were giving away free shares. They have been falling for so long that have fallen below what one would consider the minimum price for a company of its scope. The reason for that being, doing wacky shit shakes up investor trust. They have enough on the horizon that it would be easy to see 17 dollars in a flash, but it honestly can't drop much below $10 unless they just intentionally start burning the place down. Its risky if you consider any net loss a serious risk event. I would be more along the lines of 75/25 just because this is a real company, not HMNY. Its not going to zero and getting a 100000 share reverse split. I could lose money, you never know for sure whats gonna happen. But I only have 8k in it right now, and I can't imagine losing more than 1.5k at the absolute most.

that short ratio is just too fucking high not to expect a squeeze at some point; it's just one of those experimentals that I'd sit on the sidelines to see what happens
another fact; they took on a lot of debt in 2017 and gained a lot of goodwill and intangible assets (likely the patents from Cody Laboratories, accounts for debt as well)

I think it's a good play; even if it came from BigGuy4U.
Like all BigGuy plays I'd be fucking careful and sell on pops cause they've taken on 900 million dollars in short term debt that they're probably going to be refinancing for the next 15 years if they don't increase cash flow; cutting R&D...
Big5 wouldn't get as much flack as he does if he put a big old 'warning' sticker on his posts; and reminded people to do their own DD.

Study one and only stocks along with others that are of the same field or follow the same current.

Over time you notice a pattern and see that it doesn't want to go over a certain limit and that bad news(the ones making the price drop) seem to affect it more often.

Thus the line of least resistance is the one below.

This is an exemple but least resistance is not a meme or a feel, you can tell if a stock will keep going up by reading its pattern, TA will make you do wrong choices at some point.

So the current catalysts will be the rate of decline of their HCV franchise and the growth of their HIV one, both of which don't look too good (Mayviret (?) competition in HCV, GSK competition and slower growth in Q1)

HMNY: FRACTIONAL SHARES FOR THE REVERSE SIT ARE ROUNDED UP.

THIS IS STEALTH DILUTION.

If you had one share pre-split, you basically just got 249 of the old ones for free, because you'll be rounded up to 1 full new share post-split

Do the math on the market cap before and now, and on shares outstanding before and after, and you'll be able to figure out a proper equivalent price for the shares post split! It will NOT be exactly 250X thanks to the stealth dilution; if you bought a multiple of 250 on the dot, you dun fucked up!

Not sure, but it seem to happen every week or so. Volumes traded during these minipumps are much more than average, which to me is a very bullish signal.

Notice yesterday's "sell off" was on basically no volume. I think the lack of liquidity during normal periods makes it very easy to drive down prices. Then the MM comes in and scoops up large volumes for the buyout.

not sure what to think about T. i work at one of the many companies that T is buying this year and even though everyone i've worked with at T are morons, i can't deny they're putting themselves in a good position for the 5G world.

my speculation is that they're buying a ton of content companies because it's gotten too expensive to lay new cables. 5G is also getting really fast. so everyone's gonna be on 5G in 10-15 yrs and the only differentiator is going to be the content that comes bundled. T's got a lot of the best content.

I'm starting to think that the price after dividend announcement doesn't rely on how well the company did but instead how many bought before and we're hoping to sell for a profit vs how many buy after to get cheap for the next dividend. Every time something's hyped, even if it beats if no one wants to buy it drops like a rock and if something is said to do poorly and does decently it shoots up like a rocket. So in reality if something is hyped it's best to either puts or leave it alone and if something is said to do bad a call might even be a good idea simply because not many would buy it before hand so it might go up a few % even if a bit under. I'm fairly sure the reporters are inept servents of insiders because if they were good they would be making money not reporting.

the one thing that will be kind of weird (but prolly useful) will be the fact that it will print the fib lines on the chart, so youll see them shift over time, which might be disorienting (part of the reason im going to make the variables easily adjustable). but it will kinda be an extended keltner channel, hopefully useful

The correct answer is: don't be a noob and trade penny stocks like they are scolding hot potatoes.

Treat them like a cheap whore, in and out real quick. And NEVER hold a P&D overnight.

What is your average dividend return? You'd need like 3.2 mil to get that at a 3% return.

3.2mil is definitely attainable by 50-55 if you just max out 401k and IRA for 25 years or so, which isn't hard if you live frugally and have a ~100k job

5% 401k Match on a 100k salary: 10k a year; 5% Rate of Return
ROTH limit is 5,500, accounting for that limit raising lets say 6,200 on average with 5% return to make my math easy.

35 years of savings

$1,003,523.38 from 401k
$622,184.50 from ROTH

No your rates are not going to be higher than that unless you play it risky. The 401k is subject to tax, the ROTH is not. Depending on your other income sources you could lose a significant amount to tax. This would be a good savings, but not nearly enough to reliably retire on. Even playing it wild and getting 7% would only get you another 800,000. Even assuming you had 3.2 million, putting it all into dividend stocks would be retarded, if you lost your money you would be so fucked.

Buy 64,000 shares of XYZ @ $50.00

Buy 64,000 shares of XYZ @ $50.00
It crashes and you are forced to cut losses at $48.00

Loss= $128,000 (4%)

Going all in with your entire lifes work, close to retirement is ballsy, but also full retard. Lose like that on 5 trades and you are down 20 years of retirement income.

>>10415852
No you can't. Not after accounting for fees, taxes, and the fact that your dividend carriers can drop just as easily as they raise. Unless you manage it full-time and are a god at it. What happens when you are 65 and need an expensive surgery? Your only income is down in a minor recession and now you get fucked twice. Like I said above, being generous and giving you 7% about as optimistic you should be on that type of timetable with that kind of strategy. Inevitably what will fuck you, is needing money from what is your only source of income when markets are down.

No, it takes multiple revenue streams and a good profession and/or risk taking when YOUNG. As you age your tolerance for risk should naturally decrease. This can be by avoiding literal risk, or diversification, but throwing every penny into dividends is a poorly thought out retirement plan that is far too open to getting fucked in multiple different ways.

>(Calculated Boomer)

Millennials don't believe that "hard work = success" myth. We go for super high risk/even higher reward trades. We idolize the Wolf of Wall Street and have seen Bitcoin go from pennies up to 20k.

If I had 3 mill in a brokerage account, best believe I'd be trading at least 100,000k position sizes.

Dividends in a roth don't get taxed. Regular stocks can drop as easily as they rise. Dividends compound, growth is speculative. Dividend aristocrats perform better in down markets than growth stocks. Of course you want to own some bonds as you get older, but dividend reinvestment based strategies beat all other equities strategies historically.
