General intelligence. Reasoning.

I have some general architecture of it somewhat down. Going to take a few months at least before I'm done with it though. Basically I'm exploring the high level architecture right now so it seems rather schizoidal.

Right now I'm looking at a dualistic AGI test bed. Wherein the client/server are AGI and the interface between the two is hard programmed aka some basic game laws, communication AST, etc.

The neural portions of both will be self-constructing and expanding bio based, aka cell expansion type doubling to fit problem set and develop thought vectors. The general intelligence plugs into the high level abstraction and can reason with it. Probably need a section of it that just creates "common patterns", will probably need some access to memory too.

It's all vague right now, but that's how you move fast. It's a tradeoff.

Yeah the interesting part will be trying to hook up the high level abstraction outputs to the reasoning consciousness.

Basically there seems to be a layer of interface between our thinking self and a high level abstraction representation of for instance what we see.

Soo "Roof", "floor" "screen" are just sitting there waiting for us to give it attention, and we can dive deeper from those high level abstractions too.

It's very interesting and I don't know the details yet of how it is exactly laid out but have some guesses.

You can simulate it in an AI with a simple function that increases without it and decreases with it. Sims already got that right.

Happiness, hunger, etc are just bars to fill/deplete based on your genetics/chemistry.

Your consciousness interacts with all different parts of the brain at "high abstraction" levels. So you don't notice most brain activity. Just what is necessary. Very efficient system.

The real interesting part is the brain management system. In AI I'd probably spend the most time working on this. Something that would create those static systems efficiently to give the high level abstraction thought vector output.

Yeah, check out the problem at the root of P vs. NP.
There's stuff out there for only one of inductive vs. deductive reasoning, I forget which.
One of them is basically "A = B, B = C, therefore A = C" -- that's solved, it's just non-polynomial so far unfortunately.
The other is more about creativity, or possibly generalization / abstraction -- that requires throwing fucking white noise at something and seeing what sticks... Neural networks may help with this. Idk.
