it is absolutely unthinkable for you low life trashies that one can be on good terms with their superior without sucking them off, isn't it? of course, all you've done so far was work minimum wage shit jobs without any possibility of personal freedom and initiative.

I am so stressed about work that I can't even talk to other humans anymore. Every minute of my free time is spent dreading the next time I'll have to go to the fucking office.
I should leave for my mental health's sake, but at 34 and no real skills I might as well kms because I'd go homeless anyway

t. retard who has only ever worked as a mcdonalds part timer

It's not about how "hard" the work is, it's about the sheer amount of goals, upsell targets, deadlines, meetings, company reports, customer satisfaction targets, etc. You do everything right and no one cares, you miss a single target and management will threaten to change half your staff. All goals and targets are so outlandishly out of touch, you can tell the people setting them have never actually worked on this environment. And the raw number of fuck ups this company does with sending out wrong prices, fucking up every single stock delivery in my city for multiple weeks, sending wrong promotional shit etc. Just gets annoying and stressful after a while. Only reason I stick with it is because I like my regular customers and the pay is decent.

Serious? I own 3 businesses and I genuinely enjoyed building each of them up. Find something you like doing and just do it. If there’s nothing you like, then just keep being a wagekek slave because you’re miserable anyway so you may as well make money for someone else, like me.

Hidden within these posts is the answer to how someone can be happy at their job: honestly believing in the mission they are working towards. There is an anon who believes crypto is a cool technology to be working with and furthering, and he's happy. There is an anon who is totally disconnected from the retail mission (such as it is) and is unhappy, it's just to pay the bills. If he was selling something he liked, and had ownership in the company I bet it would be more enjoyable.
This is why I have enjoyed working at nonprofit orgs and local governments: they are actually making my neighborhood better, not chasing money like corporate golems.

But do those kind of jobs pay decently? Because at some point, it all comes down to clothing and feeding yourself, and possibly your wife/children/aging parents

I think they pay enough for a wise and frugal person to make ends meet. Government jobs you typically have very nice benefits for you and your dependents instead of nice cash, which can balance out in that situation.

Jesus dude. Work sucks, but you're not supposed to feel like that.
