How do you monetize a website without using affiliate links? Literally how, as in exact steps for a noobie?
It's a game site but affiliate links won't work with it.

It'd be linking to Steam store pages and Steam doesn't give you affiliate links.
So I don't know how else to monetize it. Unless I use a different website to link games but that's against the theme of the site

look up "internet advertizing platforms". There is an entire market dedicated to this. Of course, to actually make more than a few pennies you'll have to direct bot traffic through your site.

Are you sure about bots being a necessary evil to make money? Seems like a good way to get your website blacklisted.
