It's called tokenomics. You can only get like 10-50 BAT at a time for free from the grant, and that's every few months. Brave "users" can get BAT from BAT Ads for free but that's by using the Ads system, which advertisers technically paid for.

At some point the UGP (BAT grant) will run dry. But while it's running, the price of BAT can still increase for loads of reasons, and as it does, less BAT will be given out. Once this thing starts having high utility, high speculation, and less supply, price could shoot up big time. Especially if big advertisers start to on-board with big bags of BAT.

If it were a partnership with like Twitter or something then that would matter, but not even any streamers accept Brave. I've seen one and she was linked from a Brave blog and works in crypto.

i use brave after my chrome stopped working
i imported every bookmark and chrome extension without any problems
