Note that Linkpool is constantly working on giving LP shares as much worth as possible. They added Node as a Service, the dex, the new and upcoming market place all of which will profit LP share holders.

So, essentially, if you would sell link now to buy lp tokens, you would only do it for the very start of the staking network to go live. You'll need 1LP for about 800 link tokens for staking. Not worth it. Better to wait now.
