I hate getting treated like this just going in for an interview! Yet somehow they're mistakes/behavior can get treated as no big deal.

How would y'all respond to

Like I want to risk going through 3 interviews only to find out it pays less than what I was making at the time.

There isn't anything you can do, you have no leverage. The employer has enough power that it has created a world where prioritising your own interests and survival is considered taboo.

That's why you can be rejected from a job merely for asking about salary demands and discussing salary with your colleagues is the ultimate taboo when in reality discussing your salary only negatively impacts your boss

You have to be motivated to help them not yourself
