Kids changed my life for the better. You learn a lot about yourself and people and also what's important in life. I used to be a hedonist until those kids. I realized how much balance, painstaking hard work, and focus is necessary to raise a human being well. If you're someone chasing aimless gains, it might help to have something to spend that hard work on. What better way than a family that can directly benefit from and appreciate that wealth? Fatherhood is great. I think what helps make the above work is to commit to being a great husband and father, upon deciding on a good woman to marry.
