Whats your honest opinion about the future of XMR? Price prediction for 2020/2021?

It’s the only coin I can be arsed to mine as I support the usecase. One of the few with an actual usecase next to BTC.

Transparency is actually the greatest advantage crypto has compared to traditional systems because everyone can fairly view the overall ledger balance.

Monero gave up transparency.

Alright lads... I'll clarify this for you. Altcoins will pump in this order.

Waves this month
XMR this month
BAT later this month
Ravencoin first half august
NEO just after ravencoin
Zilliqa around half of august
Stratis on september
ETH around half of september

Play your cards right and be fucking rich. Screen cap this.

Dude, if you hold XMR dont tell people how much, cause it loses its purpose. That's rule number 1 of hodling XMR

If you can prove monero ledger balance than you broke the privacy of it.

And no, monero supply is not auditable outside of coinbase. Do some research. More knowledable people have already discussed this.

Do more research. Monero devs are tight lipped about undetectable inflation bugs because they know how vulnerable monero could be. You simply can't view balances other than the coinbase. The claims that monero can be audited are half truths to protect investor bags.

XMR and all other privacy cryptos will always have some sort of use and a future. The problem becomes in the future how will people be able to acquire privacy coins as it seems fairy obvious that governments are trying to control on and off ramps into crypto.

With the government and Libra hearings last week it seems like they acknowledge they can't control crypto itself and instead try to control exchanges will enforce heavy kyc's and attempt to track transactions. Once exchanges are completely controlled and regulated I can definitely see privacy coins being banned and taken off mainstream exchanges.

Obviously the tech savy guys will easily find ways to acquire privacy coins but will institutional investors and less tech savy people be willing to risk using privacy coins. Personally I don't think they will and even though XMR will always be around its market share along with all other privacy coins will slowly diminish. It will clearly still be used as its decentralized but mainstream adoption will be limited.

this. brainlets who don't understand that "privacy / auditability" are inherently at odds of each other are in for a bad time.
XMR is a great coin, but should only be used for transactions...convert from btc and back...its not a SOV due to inflation bugs.

yeah not like 4 math PhDs, the creators of bulletproofs and 3 other top auditing firms are involved when XMR adopts new tech. unironically kys this very moment. Bunitz and Stanford did audit of bulletproofs which they created, and they WANTED to be paid in XMR not $ you incel inbred

It's better for privacy than Bitcoin, I encourage people to use it.

XMR is good for transactions and actual usage. There will probably be correlation with bitcoin prices but fundamentally it should not be used to speculate.
