Although a better story would be when my business failed, maxed out my credit cards, essentially went flat broke, and the bank was about to move my home loan into their foreclosure department if I couldnt come up with a couple grand. So I sold everything I could, begged what I could from friends/family (nothing even though I helped them all for years, most didnt seem to be able to grasp the concept that businesses fail), looked into if I could do a short sale to try to walk away with anything. My pet got sick so I spent all my remaining money on his treatment instead and still lost him. Then the deadline finally came for the loan to be pushed into their foreclosure department.

Last minute effort I scoured my old harddrives, usbs, everything to find my old crypto. Found maybe ~$500 worth of dust, mostly in CLAMs. Told my deceased pet we'd get back on top to make people regret not helping us. Started making crypto moves, this was September 2017. I really didn't care anymore about my house. I was cleaning it up and planning on trying to sell it quickly when foreclosure started. Because I bought the house right before the '08 crash, some law required them to offer me financial assistance backed by the gov if I fell behind enough so all their threats turned out to be baseless. Hardship forms with an offer to restructure the loan showed up, made enough in the Dec bullrun to keep things going, managed to get an online income of $2k-$5k/mo. I think my health took a hit from the year or two before of just stress, letting people go, downsizing, and eventually failing. I've got minor medical issues now. I'm trying again but sometimes I think about if I would have been healthier/happier as a wagecuck.
