I did that too, my boomer boss keeps asking me how my stocks are doing even though I kept telling him it's crypto. Now I just say my stocks are doing alright I guess, pretty stagnant.

Huge mistake
If you lose you get teased and harassed. If you win and make a bunch of money your boss will resent you and probably so will anyone else you tell. It rubs bosses the wrong way when an employee rolls up in a nicer car than them. They also start to joke about "Are you gonna quit on us now that you're a millionaire? hyuck hyuck". Typical corporate bullshit. You're probably going to have to cut them out of your life.
