/g/ here.

I'm working on a financial app and I am looking into calculating premiums on house, car, travel, etc. insurance, but all I seem to be able to find is articles with general bullshit like "well, age and driving experience are taken into account..."

Is there a cheat sheet of formulas out there somewhere that I'm too retarded to find? I'm not looking for anything company or country specific.

Insurance isn’t one size fits all like a snickers bar breh. Everyone got different premiums...advertising a base price would not be conductive when you can pretty much scam anyone and everyone with arbitrary metrics only you control

I know that, I'm looking for the way companies arrive at their premium prices.

Is it really that crazy to ask how does an insurance company reaches the x amount per month it charges for car insurance?
