This will probably come off as cringe, but I'm actually succesful in my career that I enjoy. I'm a capitalist. A hopeful business owner. I'd never do this for a multitude of reasons. A. It's a dick thing to do. B. It hurts your reputation. If your industry is anything like mine, bosses of different companies know each other, and often talk. C. I'd hate if a future employee did it to me. Also, if you give a 2 weeks notice, you should know you are like bottom of the barrel wagie scum. The last job I left I gave 5 weeks, and my new employer understood and accepted that.

In UK the custom is to give notice at least of the period of intervals you're paid. So if you are paid weekly, it's ok to give 1 week notice.
Also, the employers are fucking scum that hire people on continuous rotation. It's a common method to put so much pressure to burn out people and hire new ones every month or two. Some people take the beating even longer, thinking it's just a busy period and it will get "nomal" soon. Very naive.
