Hmm, if a buyout was done now with AMRN we'd get $45 a share. Which happens to be the lowest I could go and still do everything I got planned. 30 x 2 (60) looks to be the top end. Surely Big Pharma won't let the share price creep higher than that. But we'll see. Dec is right around the corner. The FDA don't have to keep to the Dec 28th deadline, they could release it sooner. You can try to learn but it's got a steep curve to it. My advice would be to use a very small number of tickers. Stuff like USO, SPY, TLT, VXX, GLD, and SLV all move in 1 penny increments and are super liquid with really tight spreads. I've seen most of the biotech meme stocks that are posted here move in 5 cent increments, and aren't very liquid. You get spreads like a 10 cent bid and a 40 cent ask basically putting you in the hole 75% as soon as you open the trade. I mean if the Nasdaq is you're index, QQQ is super liquid and has good options. SPY is just king for the day trading since it's got 3 different expirations a week. The other ones I've mentioned all have weekly, but some stocks only offer monthly or quarterly expirations. Those are can be useful too if you're looking to write covered calls or want some protective puts to hedge shit you already own. Trade them on paper, and use small lots if you're going to actually trade them. Take your wins and manage your risk, most options expire worthless and its super easy to blow up your account with them.

So the whole strategy, involving all three stocks (KSS, M, TPR) cost a bit less than 9k to enter, with M being the smallest position...the average dividend yield for the strategy is a cunt hair over 6 points, so, after six months that's about 250$ in payouts (assuming the dividends continue at current rate).

When I say "just" bought in, I mean yesterday, so I caught that M knife too soon apparently. That said, the M contract brought in 150, and all three brought in about 650.

Put it all together and that's about 900 (>10%) in profit, more or less guaranteed, the only variable being the next two quarters of dividends. Worst case scenario, I'm left holding the bag on these three companies while collecting dividend yields in the 5% range.

There’s your problem. Far as I can tell, robinhood just takes a point halfway between the ask and bid price, and calls that the mark. If the spread is tight, there’s no problem. If the spread is wide (the asking price is much higher than the bidding price) you’ll get a mark that’s much lower than anyone selling the option is willing to sell for.
