I think it depends on some things like the amount of active ad campaigns in your region. It also depends on your behavior a bit, for example going to different sites and reading, scrolling, clicking, and just generally actively browsing the web seems to give more ads. Something less active like refreshing biz catalog and shitposting seems to give less than if you are visiting various websites. Passively watching videos on YT, netflix, etc, will get you little to none. Some days I seem to get more or less than others regardless of behavior too.

They might have changed it since but when I signed up you wouldn't get served ads if you are using a vpn.

Brave makes onboarding users into crypto much easier than anything else. In the browsers current state theres only 136 BAT available for each user. That number is actually much lower though once you take into account things like defi, abandoned addresses, dust, etc. In just my browsers i have over 300 BAT that I don't plan on selling anytime soon.
