BAT is unquestionably the safest bet we have right now for 300-1000% gains over the longer term.

It meets the holy trinity of a good coin:
1. A clear, definitive use case
2. Responds to a large problem (the current online ad revenue paradigm)
3. A reliable and proven team with an excellent track record

Prove any of the above wrong. Pro tip: you fucking can't. Nor can the same three criteria be met by ANY OTHER coin. Hop on board while there's still time friends.

Depends on what kind of profit margin you're comfortable with. I would collect everything I could until .30 or so without losing much sleep based on my future price prediction. Altogether my big buy-ins occurred at .14,.24, and .27 at different times. I regret the latter, to be honest, since it fell back down dramatically for a time.

How does BAT work? Just being used in a useful (I agree) case is not enough to prove that it will be able to x10. Is it premined? Is there a more or less public stability policy from the team?

Indeed. Any ecosystem related to DeFi will surge! BAT has a good business model and best product Brave browser. Another such gem project to speculate is FinNexus from the Wanchain ecosystem and they come up with a revolutionary TGE format ICTO!

Supply and demand. Advertisers are buying them to run ads & paying real money. The ads distribute them to the many users who have rewards turned on and the supply will slowly spread thin forcing the price to increase.

It depends entirely on adoption. The more advertisers and influencers that adopt BAT the higher the price will rise. As they are spent by advertisers to the customer, customers to the influencers/in ecommerce, the amount of BAT that sits unused on customers' PCs, etc the higher the price goes. As long as the supply doesn't ever increase, the price isn't capped at anything.

Most people will get somewhere between a few dollars per month and a few dollars per week for free. IF (and that is a big if) this sees decent adoption, people will want to buy more for tipping.

The thing I don't get about BAT tokenomics: the only thing you buy with BAT is tips for "content creators". Further, you can earn BAT by simply browsing the internet, which isn't a difficult task, especially when you compare it to mining (which requires computational power or staking).

The combination of BAT being easy to earn + spending being primarily voluntary makes me doubt BAT's longterm growth in purchasing power.

new podcast w CEO he literally says BAT designed to not be volatile

24:19 “we have no religious commitment - a priori commitment - to any coin.”

24:51 “one of the things we noticed with BTC.....was it is a store of value, it is subject to these speculative and fairly volatile changes in price and therefore people don’t want to spend it generally...the Open Bazaar founders said ‘Well, they want to HODL it’ - and I understand that. That also worked against our using BTC. And so when we use the BAT, it wasn’t quite a stablecoin but when we look at Willy Wu’s charts Wunomic from 2017, BAT was actually 2nd least volatile above USDT among a basket of tokens and coins he looked at and BTC was more volatile, Ethereum was more volatile. So we actually, as our white paper argued, did, by tokenizing and using a custom token, achieve lower volatility.

Because we are not locking up the coin for a long time we are using it to settle in 30 days, we don’t see volatility as a big concern and we don’t think our users are burdened by it. Because they are getting a revenue share from ads now. Private ads in the browser which we can offer them as part of Brave rewards - this is optional - they are getting 70% of the revenue in tokens.....We think the volatility exposure is small.

But like I said, we are crypto agnostic so we will use multiple tokens and coins we will use stablecoins in Brave for many purposes such as e-commerce.

And we are integrating these now. You are already seeing this in Brave for desktop with an ETH wallet that can support ETh and ERC-20.

We are adding other main chain coins and tokens this year - first half of this year. Not by adding full nodes or custom white clients to the browser but by using something like Alchemy or Bitgo.”

And when Laura asks at the end “what’s next for Brave?” the first thing he excitedly highlights is enabling the use of other coins - like BTC or stablecoins.

The fuck are you talking about? The plan for Brave is to be able to use other coins to pay for premium content and their upcoming services like dvpn, paywall subscriptions, and e-commerce in general. This is bullish. The $1 FUD is over 3 years old too. It was never a meme just some lame shit people like you spread.

Its extremely bearish for bitcoin and unironically boolish for BAT. It means bitcoin doesnt function as a currency and will only ever remain a speculative ponzi experiment. It also means BAT will function as a web standard for digital currencies and will slowly grow at a stable rate over a long period of time similar to stonks.
