Btw I own and built the eCommerce platform from scratch, no Shopify or anything like that and monetization options are welcome.

the channel that you should be using depends on what you're selling, fuckface.

Just looking for general tips on eCommerce growth regardless of products being sold. Like how people approach SEO and grow traffic through organic channels vs PPC

Let’s say I’m Nike, and I need to increase shoe sales through online advertising and engagement. How do I do this?

here's your tips
1. If you sell products that have a visual quality to them (clothes, jewelry, watches, etc.) use a channel that allows banner ads like GDN, Facebook, Instagram. Otherwise just use Google Search Ads.

2. Learn conversion rate optimization. If you increase the conversion rate on your site, you can continue doing what you're doing, but you get better results. ConversionXL blog is an amazing source for this. It will probably take you a few months to learn enough to make a difference.

3. Do you know about the Customer Value Optimization framework? If not, educate yourself and use it.

4. Nike doesn't need to worry about selling their shoes because they sell themselves since they have huge brand equity. Build your own brand equity, even if you start locally. It will pay off in 5-10 years.

5. Don't make shit ads. Do you know about S.I.T. (Systematic Inventive Thinking)? Use that framework to create decent ads.

This is the only generic advice I can give you because you seem like the type of dipshit that doesn't want to talk about his business because "people will steal muh idea".

Almost forgot to give you the black pill: most of the online advertising that people are doing nowadays is not actually profitable in the sense that you spend X and you get 2X back. The only sensible way to do online advertising in this day and age is to play the "Customer Lifetime Value" game. You spend money on ads, generate the sale on a loss, but then you do everything in your power to make that customer loyal and convince him to buy from you again in the future. Basically you lose money on the average order value, but you recoup it on the customer-lifetime-value. If you don't do this you'll eventually get BTFO slowly but surely.

For more control, and I get to make it essentially eCommerce-aaS so people with no tech skills can sell their products without a website. They have their own place within the site they can share to others (their personal store/space)

I seriously hope you position that platform/marketplace of yours as being for a certain niche like "The Marketplace for Tech Illiterate Faggots Who are Selling Used Dildos Online", cause if you built this as a universal marketplace and you intend to compete with the other established solutions, you'll experience a rude awakening.

>> No.17359027

>>17358872
Why? Those other solutions and services charge a fuck ton and require up-front investment for implementation. With us there’s literally nothing to pay, we just take a commission cut. We are also able to implement features/pivot in a way the other players don’t have simply because of our tech flexibility.
