17572009 No.17572009 [Reply] [Original]

many neo-newfags are wondering how did we know. It was simply obvious from the energy and the quality of the memes. Whole other level compared to anything else going on at the same time such as NEO, Raiblocks, REQ, ICX etc.

small personal accumulation blog:
>central europoor, been hearing about crypto during 2017, decide to pull the trigger in early January 2018
>Complete fresh grad poorfag barely surviving on starting net salary of $800. Decide to get a personal loan and put in 4500$ into crypto.
>timing is impeccable, literally buy in at the super ATH of 10th of January
>slowly loosing lot of money, overdiversifing throughout 2018
>early 2019 decide to consolidate everything remaining into LINK. Probably around 1/3 of my initial investment
>getting 2350 LINKies, over June it skyrockets. Massiveboner.jpg, first time in my life I have a few thousand dollars
>come xmas, breaking up with gf, a must networking skiing trip, massive corona food/self defence/meds/mask preparation and had to sell 1000LINKies over the course of 3 months. No other disposable income I could use. Grateful I had money to use but also devastated
>Heart bleeds for every sold LINKie, in the meantime I have changed jobs, and soon will earn 3x as much as 3 years ago plus bonus.
>will only have disposable money in the summer by the time very likely LINK skyrockets and will have to buyin at ridicolous prices compared to the avg 0.32 cent

moral of the story. Appreciate your stacks and be grateful you didnt have to sell any of them. We are all gonna make it

Bought at ICO (only a small tranche as it wasn't easy unless you pre-registered). Topped up until around this time last year till I had 12K LINK. Bought 3 LP shares at ICO. Only sold ~1000 Stinkies last summer to reduce the money invested a bit.

Since the ETH ICO, there was never, EVER such dense information about a token as it was with LINK. /biz is full of faggots, but the weaponized autism was able to tease out all the breadcrumbs way before any other source.

LINK will, without doubt, be among the top #5 cryptos. It won't happen EOY, but over the course of the next 5y tops. I will be a millionaire once it does.

I discovered LINK in december 2017 on biz, I already had Bitcoin in 2014. Meme threads were spammed to death and also FUDed as fuck so I didn't buy. Later in 2018 I made a thread asking to people why was it so good but then again most of the replies were stupid as hell (it reminds me a lot FTM threads btw).
I almost wanted to buy LINK in June 2019 before the great pump but someone told me LINK wouldn't pump so much and that Sergei said LINK shouldn't be priced more than a coffee. I think after this I decided to never listen any salty FUDers again.

Now I think it's too late to make it with LINK and the money I have, there will be others opportunities with others coins. Maybe I will regret it, maybe not, we will see.

You are late given your timeline but LINK's marketcap is only $1.6b, compare that to the rest of the top 10. + we could have a bullrun coming. You're not going to get those nice early gians but would you like ot go back and buy $10 LINK cos this is like that.

Sure you might get better returns with something else but if you understand link properly you know this is as sure a bet as you can get in this space. You can sit in it and be comfy but you will need to get over your past "failures" and look forward. just like i wish i had done when i was looking at $300 btc in 2015/6.

Yep, it's those ~$1m microcaps that get the best returns. But there is definitely some luck invovled there and usually it was people with early BTC/ETH gains chucking some profit into them that made it off them.

Which is exactly what I'm wanting to do with my LINK gains. Take 5% and chuck them into a few promising projects. Stuff like LIT for example.

It's always been there and was actually much more intense during 2017 and 2018. One element is that it was a way to keep normies/plebbit + those who can't research away from the project. This allowed people here to accumulate as much as possible through keeping the price low. r/cc was particularly targeted over the past 2 years in order to poison link's name.

There is also likely groups that employ it for more short-term benefit to pick up us much LINK as possible. Likely also shilling on the way up to. Basically the idea is either make people not buy or switch in and out and pick up their LINK.

But i've never engaged in any of that, just sit here on the sidelines with my stakc and observe.

And just reading your earlier replies and this is the hardest thing for normies to get... chainlink hjolders are the ones fudding the project. they are not salty, they are self-interested and want to manipulate the price.

adn why could they fud the project? a) it's largely b2b b) the project fundamentals are so strong it just doesn't matter

this is not a reddit coin that needs mass adoption (and none of those coins will ever get adopted). blockchain is backend tech.

not an oldfag, but i've scoured the archives starting with the first mention of chainlink. i don't think this is true. chainlink token sale was september and assblaster started posting november, i think. there were quite a few posts talking about chainlink being the next big thing; i didn't cross-reference with REQ posts however. assblaster even mentioned in his first post, before giving away which token he was talking about, that it was a token that was being heavily discussed by biz. and honestly it doesn't surprise me. i bought chainlink right after hearing about it and reading the first medium article written by sergey. if you understand blockchain and it's future, it makes complete sense.

I bought pic related randomly at a crystal store about a 1.5 years before hearing about chainlink; I must have bought it in the fall of 2017 (around the time of the token sale). i've been here since end of 2016; Link has always been the one witht eh most memes. Link emems were born for the Link marines, because at first we were getting JUST'd while other shitcoins mooned and LINK remained below ICO price and we kept buying more. /biz/ was 50% making fun of Stinky Linkies for holding bags and the other half were making memes because we were the Link Marines. Assblaster came late 2017 and added fire to the already accumulating breadcrumbs. But LINK has had cult following on /biz/ since ICO; way more than REQ.

stfu faggot.
It was only obvious from the "memes" to brainlets who only bought because of them.

Many of use bought it and had confidence because it made so much sense, it was very clear now utterly necessary the oracle problem was,and how Link was the ONLY solution to it. In other words, its was a very obvious bottle neck to people who understood smart contracts.

I personally discovered LINK in march 2018. How? I saw the memes but ignored them for months. Eventually i realised how all shitcoins are useless because i couldn't understand how data would reliably get into a smart contract to unlock their use cases. This depressed me and i sold everything into BTC. I pondered this for a long time. what was the point in Ethereum if you had to manually feed the data and it could be wrong?

I recognized this oracle issue without having terminology for it. Then I read a little about oracles, and then i realised those faggots spammed about "the oracle problem" and i looked into LINK. I then had a divine moment and everything clicked. I went ALL in on Link in that month, sold every BTC I had and lever looked back and have been in absolute confidence ever since. Link is the bottle neck. If it fails, NOTHING succeeds. Longing Link is literally longing the entire crypto market, but with much, much less risk. I bought my 27K stack with every last BTC I had, and then slowly put more into it every paycheck till around March 2019 after main net announced. When It broke 1$ I no longer felt like putting in more fiat.

Now every time you newfaggots debate how people have large stacks, and how even 10k was a lot back then, remember a lot of OG linkies had profits from the bullmarket of 2017, they simply moved them into Link.

So to conclude, you have two camps. The low IQ retards, who thought it was obvious from "le meme magic" and the higher IQ (than normies) camp who found Link on their own or realised that issue preemptively.
