I went through a couple of books on economics and psychology myself, like nassim taleb, and the thinking fast and thinking slow book. And in it it details exactly how flawed people are. Its quite gross really.

But those books opened me to the possibility of other lore, linked it to IQ and general other differences between people. And it made me realize eventually. If a free market indeed provides for all needs. But if the people have retarded needs, then the free market will provide retarded things.

Its resources it may turn into those retarded things fairly well, but those things could still be very degenerate and terrible. Thus the free market, devoid of morals, is also a terrible thing that must not be let free.
