OH FUCK! OH FUCK! OH FUCK!

https://www.barrons.com/articles/why-the-s-p-500-hasnt-hit-bottom-and-could-fall-another-35-51585169263

>In a note to clients on Wednesday, TS Lombard strategists said the market has more room to fall, citing expectations that earnings for companies in the S&P 500 could fall roughly 30%. That decline, and the effects of the economic slump they see, put the fair value of the S&P 500 closer to 1600 to 1800, down as much as 35% from the closing level of 2475.56 on Wednesday.

>The severe downturn isn’t likely to feed into an immediate recovery once social-distancing measures are eased, in part because central bankers don’t have the same amount of ammunition, or room to cut interest rates, as they did at the start of the last financial crisis. At the same time, years of interest rates near record lows have obscured problems on balance sheets.

>Capital spending tends to follow earnings with at least a six-month lag, so the initial hit to profits from efforts to control the virus may hamper growth later in the year, Dumas adds.

In this case I'm not going to pretend like I had any fucking idea what the effects of unemployment caused by coronavirus were gonna be, because I've never seen a situation exactly like this before, no one has. “My guess is one of the reasons the market’s up right now is because of all the month-end rebalancing. The market’s front-running, it sees the fact that there are going to be a lot of equities to buy,” “That’s one reason my guess is we’ll stay firm into month-end and then we’ll be challenged in April,” as the market digests a peak level of coronavirus cases.

“I think that could bring us to a retest, it might even bring us to a fractional new low. But I do think the stock market’s going to find a bottom once we get a peak in the epidemic curve, [there’s] not a doubt in my mind the stock market will rally,” he continued. “My guess is we’ll be higher three or four months from now, five months from now, than lower than where we are right now.”

Anon don't kill yourself over it! I don't want you being eternally damned. Read the Holy Bible, I recommend starting from the New Testament. Jesus Christ who is God came to the world to save us from sin, from eternal damnation. He died on the cross, yet 3 days later He rose from the grave claiming victory over sin and death. Believe in Jesus Christ, gain everlasting life. I pray my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ helps thee overcome the darkness that swallows you whole. Don't kill yourself anon.

>How can Jesus be finite, mortal and infinite, immortal at the same time?
He is the mediator between those two things and so he is characterized by both. Man sees Christ and is filled with hope at the prospect of seeing God. God and man became reconciled through Christ on the cross. Christ underwent an unspeakable, unknowable metaphysical anguish and pain on top of the natural physical pain when he was on the cross. He underwent this torture to pay the price for the sin of man. God's mercy is so great that even when man committed the most heinous sin of all, executing his Son, who is of God and a part of him and is him, God showed man by his Resurrection that he is still forgiven. It's almost too beautiful to fathom. I'd never seen or understood something even remotely so beautiful and filled with hope and bliss. That is what made me believe. Some postulate that the bottom portion of the cross is the material and base realm while the top portion of the cross is the Kingdom of God, Christ is the center of the cross who connected the fallen man with God.

I could go on and on but if I had to recommend you one book besides the New Testament, it would be the Brothers Karamzov by Fyodor Dostoevsky, it gave me a perspective I never had before and for the first time in my life I was presented with an image of God without a background of pretentious, self-contradictory zealotry, much as I hate using that word in the context that neo-atheists use it. It's a long book, but give it a read if you can.
