AMD has always had the better tech since amd64, and Intel the marketing. The faster processors Intel has made over the last decade were only faster because they cheated, leaving their hardware vulnerable to various attacks.
But high powered slimy marketing wins over technical superiority. People still think AMD is slow shit for poor people when Ryzen has the same or better performance as current Intel CPUs. Intel has seriously become lazy with the R&D over the last several years though, and people who work there often write about how terrible it is, and how nobody can ever get anything done due to infighting. Intel still has the brand lead, but it really is anyone's race.

Absolutely wrong. AMD was never vulnerable to meltdown, which is a far more serious and exploitable vuln than spectre 1 and 2. Since these broke, researchers have been poking the new angle with every common processor, and there's a theme: Vulns keep being found in Intel, but nowhere else. TLBleed, ZombieLoad, and Foreshadow are all Intel exclusive. And it's not just their hardware that has a lazy security model. Check the CVE page for Intel and you'll see 208 vulnerabilities across all their software. Lovely shit like privilege escalation and code execution in their various drivers and firmwares.

Ryzenfall, Fallout, MasterKey and Chimera. Mostly split apart with bad sounding names because the research was a hit piece. Remember how Intel is good at slimy marketing. They all require administrative access to exploit, making them very low level exploits. You already need to have pwned the machine to pwn the machine. Mostly useless. The only neat one is MasterKey, because it lets you flash the PSP firmware, which isn't supposed to happen. But again, if you have full access to the machine you could flash any number of firmwares in the hardware to make your foothold more persistent.
