This board should be split into /biz/ and /money/, change my fucking mind. Oh wait, you can’t.

Crypto is completely different from trading literally anything else on the fucking market. The technology behind it is different. The way it builds value is extremely different and unique to each type of currency. The price movements are different. It doesn’t trade on any non-meme platform, and those upon which it does tend to operate very differently from any other, run-of-the mill trading platform... Almost none of them offer margin, and very few offer ATMs or have physical banks. Trading crypto is therefore more like trading /g/atorade-flavored Forex than anything, except it fucking isn’t like Forex at all because it isn’t backed by a unique item (is: unique paper currency, metals, etc...) that you can receive in real life.

It’s no wonder, then, why over 70% of this board is people shilling MLM-tier crypto currencies to clueless newfags at any single point in time. The other 30% of threads are split between people memeing on crypto, /pmg/ (which also belongs in /money/ IMO), /smg/, and legitimate entrepreneurs. Needless to say, this board has become fucking cancer for anyone that’s not trying to talk about trading crypto or other money assets. I would love to be able to browse both boards separately, without worrying about losing a good thread every time the latest Flavor of the Month, FOMO scamcoin gets yet another multiple of its already-existing general.

>TL;DR just split the fucking board and call it a day. There’s plenty of demand for separate boards and, while there is plenty of overlap between the subjects, they really belong separate.
