There isn't much of a point talking about it right now in my opinion. We need more people building on BAT, that will trigger some real discussion. TA talk is pointless because BAT follows the same slow pumps and slow dumps every year for the past 3 years.

yeah i barely make it around to these threads anymore. i used to post somewhat regularly on here. im the guy who did those huge big bat giveaway threads on reddit and shit

as far as TA goes, theres not much to talk about. its been in an incredibly long and tight range of accumulation since last summer or so (after the huge pump and dump from expectations of the release of ads not meeting reality). the indicator on the right is volume profile, shows how many bags were exchanged at a certain price. pretty much the entire supply has changed hands in this range which is very good. it basically sets a floor. until it breaks out of this huge bull flag and breaks ~3500 sats theres really nothing to talk about as far as charts go. once it gets out of there then it should start running.

the only other thing thats new really is the problem that compound is having with the yield farming, but it shouldnt really matter much for bat. either a bunch of the farmers get liquidated or the issue gets fixed and whoever bought bat just for farming purposes will dump it back (~130m tokens in compound wallet in total, though some of them already owned bat and will probably just send it back to their wallet to hold again).

other than that we just wait for self serve ads, publisher ads and a growing userbase and chill for now

i dont really give a fuck about the android wallet thing. or being able to sync wallets. those are both necessary features but wont move the price. the only features i really care about right now are self serve ads and publisher ads. i actually really enjoy seeing the desktop ads but i will never enable the notification based ads on the mobile version because they annoy the fuck out of me. i leave my phone on vibrate and have notifications for text messages only. i tried the mobile ads once and my phone fucking vibrates after i shut the screen off because brave is still running in the background and an ad pops up. that shit aint gonna fly with me but ill definitely turn on publisher ads once those come out. i think a lot of other people will too. that should drive the rewards opt-in rate up a good amount. i gotta go do some more drugs let me know your thoughts ill check back in a bit

lol, that's hilarious because I feel the exact same way. Both those features had no effect on me whatsoever. For me the Compound stuff is the most interesting thing to happen with BAT pretty much all year since it seemingly could inflate the price

the mobile ads don't bother me one way or another. I mostly don't even look at them on mobile even though I have them turned on. I do look at the "new tab" ads a LOT more on mobile than on desktop though

Self Serve ads are pretty much done. Some lad posts the GitHub info for it pretty often. Think will see some price action finally since that's great utility for the token. Don't think anything else is lined up outside of Android being able to cash out.

The mobile ads make me sperg out, but I get such a stupid amount of BAT from them each month I keep it enabled.

the compound thing isnt as exciting to substantial price movement as you might think. imo that bubble is about to pop. theyre having a huge problem because people are loaning bat to themselves to earn COMP tokens which is driving up the interest rates. it looks like they are trying to work out a potential solution now.

the intended use of the compound platform is to lend money at reasonable interest rates that adjust automatically in a trustless fashion...not for people to farm a shitcoin lol. they didnt account for the fact that COMP might actually moon and people might take interest in it. its actually a pretty funny scenario. the best part is that the entire usecase of the COMP tokens is that it gives you a larger % of the vote on what changes get made to the platform. so not only are the people earning a bunch of COMP tokens from farming, but they also gain sway over what happens next.

the entire purpose of compound is to give out crypto loans at an automatically adjusted FAIR rate, but this farming shit drove the interest rates so high that there are literally ZERO real users on this thing. its basically a ponzi COMP scam at this point. so the COMP whales (some of which farmed it themselves lol) basically have 2 choices:

a. fix the problem and the value of the shitcoin they hold large amounts of DRASTICALLY tanks in value, or-

b. the platform never functions as intended and the house of cards eventually comes crumbling down

its fucking fascinating really. anyways it wont really matter much for the price of bat.

that's fucking awesome, thanks for the explanation - I'm a wageslave myself so I haven't been able to really delve into what was going on with it, I just saw that it got listed on Coinbase and knew there was something scammy going on with it in regard to BAT. That's pretty awesome though, cryptocurrency is fascinating stuff.

Hopefully in the end it won't have some extreme negative affect on BAT's price, but it does sound like a house of cards at this point, and BAT seems to take the brunt of all/any bad news.

Self serve, publisher ads, and the "pay with BAT" button are all done. Right now they are just hardening everything. They could push everything out right now, but I believe they are looking for all the bugs and trying to make sure payments and wallets are handled flawlessly.

At this point im pretty convinced that in the next 3-4 months they are going to make an absolutely massive mass market push. Theres been a couple million dollars of BAT distributed to "growth partners" about 7 months ago and it looks like they work in the customer loyalty space and other industries. Something big is coming and even if it takes longer than expected Brave is still growing at an extremely fast rate. Too much momentum.
