So is crypto just basically an unregulated stock market?

How does this benefit me?

It just seems like I'd end up buying a random currency and waiting for it to moon.

Read their ANN on bitcointalk. Look at their website. Compare it to smilar coins on coinmarketcap. Don't buy any coins that doesn't offer new actually useful technology, doge days are over. Don't buy ICOs, they are way oversaturated and are definitely a bubble. (New ones come out every day, don't let the fancy graphic design fool you)

Those tits on adult, Jesus Christ, fucking disgusting.

Also crypto is one of the most volatile markets out there with barely a way to determine any intrinsic value, you are basically gambling.

ya, it is basically gambling, especially in the fashion 4chan uses it i.e. bulk up on low coin XYZ and then hope it moons. Now we aren't even accounting for the blatant manipulation due to its unregulated nature.
That isn't too say you can't make massive amounts of gains from it, but going in and acting like cryptocurrency is safe, low-risk trading is really sort of silly and would only serve to exemplify your lack of understanding of market principles.

If you know when to sell. you'll only take 5-10% losses when you're wrong.
