and more than half of biz is fudding or ignoring it for actual shitcoins.
I am METHANON. I posted this lateish last night, reposting every day until it is known.
I'm going to try and save your life.

It's the next Bitcoin because like Bitcoin, there has never been anything like it ever before. It's simply a technology that has never existed before. Not only that, but like Satoshi working on Bitcoin for years, Gilles Fedak has been working on the core tech of iExec since 2001.

The reason why Bitcoin was world-shattering is because it was the first time you could trustlessly trade decentralized digital currency over the internet and be your own bank.
The reason why iExec is world-shattering is because it is the first time you can trustlessly trade decentralized computing power or data over the internet, and be your own digital oil distributor.

With Bitcoin, initially you could take part in the network and reap the rewards to secure the network.
With iExec, you can take part as a worker(basically a miner) and reap the rewards to secure and increase the overall available compute power of the network.

>Do not let them shake you out.
You deserve this biz. Lots of laughs were had here. Lots of awesome information and conversations. Continued next post.

To add, the supply is the only real difference.

With bitcoin, you have to ultimately mine all of the coins.
With RLC, all tokens are mined, but the way they move is where the value will begin to explode.
People will hold it as an appreciating asset, use it in staking, buy it for computations, sell it for whatever reason, hoard it if you are a datacenter, sell data for it, or hoard it for any reason.

RLC doesn't need the mining mechanism due to the staking mechanism implemented into the workers.

The supplies are also one of the only differences.
RLC has 81 million circulating and 87M max
BTC, 21M.

That means the supplies both beg to get eaten up by future potential players, causing a massive price spike like BTC

Now here's the question
>"wHy dOeS aNyOnE nEd iExEc?"
Because it offers limitless potential in the digital realm.
Not only could it kill off centralized cloud providers eventually if they do not adapt and integrate into the iExec network, but it could also save them billions of dollars in profit.

This profit motive will be something on the table very soon. When people realize they can set their PC's up to do work for a world supercomputer and make decent money doing so, the world supercomputer will be born.

This is literally 2010, brothers. This is all irrefutable. Whales are clearly suppressing and so is biz; the organized FUD is ridiculous today. We are in the beginning, Gilles.

Clear examples of organized FUD.

Anyways, I'll bite.
>How about the fact that Bitcoin has an entire industry around it?
This is dumb. Simply because everything new starts off "without an entire industry around it", however if you want to play that game, just look at the companies iExec is partnered with and surrounded by. That "industry" will have no choice but to adopt iExec.
>How about the hash power?

"Hash power"
More like compute power. iExec isn't a mining coin, it's a computational powerhouse. Eventually millions or billions of computers will contribute to the world computer.

>All the tokens are mined
It has staking so this is irrelevant.
>harder to create asymmetrical outcomes.
RLC's tokenomics say otherwise. You had 19 years. There is only anywhere from 5-20 million RLC left for grabs, good luck anon.

Okay here we go, this is why I think iExec will be potentially worth more than either BTC, ETH, or the entire crypto market in total.

While BTC and ETH were gamechangers for finance and personal banking, iExec will be a gamechanger for the entire future of everything.
It impacts finance/defi in multiple ways.
It impacts healthcare in big ways(sharing data is huge)
It impacts computing(the future is digital, this is a given)
It impacts AI(having this much compute power is crucial for AI development)
It impacts machine learning(super-accessible and affordable machine learning)
It impacts deep learning(super accessible and affordable)
It impacts other crypto technologies(take the LINK partnership as example)
It impacts IoT(Imagine every device contributing to iExec)
It impacts smart cities
It impacts robotics(we have already seen it with the iExec SLAM robots)
It impacts data in a huge way(sharing data confidentially between anyone for use in anything will create new and better everything, Google posted something about it recently)
It impacts security(iExec can potentially be used for infinitely secure anything relating to cloud)
It impacts centralized businesses(being able to get the benefits of decentralization with ease)
It impacts mobile providers(Look into the v5 desc. Talks about saving providers 50% costs)
It impacts almost everything digital, and the future is exponentially digital.

I am sure I forgot some, but for these reasons alone, iExec will become something unimaginable to the normal person. It will seem like alien technology.
The amount of token volume, data, information, computing, etc will be so high because of the extreme cost-saving power of iExec that it will eventually be the most valuable technology in existence.

BTC is just internet money.
ETH is just programmable money.
RLC is a digital God.

In terms of being able to compete with iExec, yes.
They are in a big mess of things when it comes to tokenomics and technology. They either have to copy iExec(which they will fail) or do something else that is niche. They cannot compete in the decentralized computing marketplace space. iExec owns that now.

Elastic is a meme amateurish project not even worth discussing, pretty sure it's dead.

Golem is largely behind in every domain tech wise and much less sophisticated imo:
- they don't have a real consensus method (so they can't be plugged to any Ethereum Dapp like iexec)
- they don't have a dataset marketplace
- their whole API is much poorer from what I've tried
- they don't have a sidechain (gasless transaction)
To give you some insight they were shilling the fact you would be able to render remotely from Blender for an eternity and iexec casually released that as a Dapp back in 2018
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epIrtETCnp0

Overall it's not surprising, Gilles was probably thinking about iexec 15 years before Ethereum appeared and he has greybeard/pioneer level knowledge of distributed computing.
His buddies (Oleg and Haiwu) were working on the same thing for just about the same amount of time.
Golem is mostly a generic startup with nothing really remarkable in it, they don't developed much business and institution relationships either.

Golem had absolute top tier branding, their website is cool as fuck, so is their "trailer" and the "global supercomputer" meme was dead on (even though it's not a supercomputer like GIlles pointed).

If you compare to the dogshit branding iexec had during the ICO it was damn hilarious, iex.ec looked like it was made by some kid using wordpress for the first time kek
>https://web.archive.org/web/20170222115215/https://iex.ec/

Gilles did good hiring since then, he had some maghrebi that I'm not sure where he picked them who weren't really good at the beginning, even though it was mainly Oleg refactoring Xtremweb to work with Ethereum, now the other devs are pretty good.

iExec as a company is extremely rich from the ICO. They have tens of millions of dollars.

But for your question, iExec will make money acting as a contractor for large companies to be able to easily decentralize their business.

The team also holds around 10 million RLC, so the incentive for increasing value is there.

bitcoin was a novel experiment created by an eternal noble scholar that became a spectacle
this is a supposedly actually incredibly useful utility backed by a token and investors will need it to appreciate in value even though theres no reason for it to appreciate because iexec could instead just capture all of those appreciation profits into their company instead
