She's bored and lonely, doesn't have any interests or hobbies of her own, and despite her husband's 401k, her social security, and her dead husband's social security, she would like to make an extra 3% per week paycheck because she is incapable of deciding for herself how to spend time. You see it all the time. Try asking it next time you see one of these soulless empty husks.
>oh you know it gets me out of the house
>oh I just get so bored sitting around at home doing nothing
>I was always a go getter and have to feel productive
Flipping burgers and handing out bags of fries for minimum wage is extremely fulfilling for them. Gardening, woodworking, writing, painting, growing fungi, photography, machining, etc., it's cool and all but how do you find someone to tell you to do that and then micromanage every little step? They are natural slaves and don't possess a capacity for self direction or initiative.

If I were to reach 65 and were to choose between offing myself and waging it: I'd not only choose the former but do it in the most spectacular and attention-grabbing manner possible. At that point: I will have had as much of life as I can stomach and if I only have working at Maccas for the rest of my life to look forward to: then I should hope that my will to live is not too strong for my own good.

this. I've got so many side interests and /diy/ hobbies I'd like to do, that don't take much money but take lots of time, too much time to do much of it on my regular days off. i like to think that if i retire i might have enough health for a few years to pursue some hobbies. i don't need a wagecuck job to avoid being bored. i have actual independent interests that would be active pursuits if i had the time available

This. Holy fuck so many of the boomers at my work said they didnt do jack shit but watch tv while we were laid off for 3 fucking months. One guy said he kept watering his grass to make it grow faster so he would have something to do (mowing the lawn). They all came back even fatter too. Some people just dont have an imagination.

Don't be sad for this bitter old evil cunt. She's burned a lifetime of bridges to get to where she is now. She probably cheated on her husband in her 20s, been through several failed marriages, estranged children. Never talks to her siblings or nieces or nephews. She has nobody, she is nobody. Lost soul. Already dead. Just let her serve you mcdoubles so she can buy her cigarettes.

And the worst part about this is that while these boomers sit on all of their boom wealth, younger generations who would actually use their free time to pursue dreams are waging themselves to death. These boomers would rather complain about being bored, while having assets beyond what is needed to fund their retirement, and not give a single fuck trying to help the younger generations achieve their goals. This is the creed of the eternal boomer.

This part genuinely perplexes me. I can't tell if it's just a pride thing where they're lying to you that they love licking boots for a hobby or if they just need the dough.

How is it possible for a Boomer to not be a multimillionaire? One years worth of pay in the stock market forty years ago pretty much guaranteed you're set for life today.

Ironically, working at McDonalds from 1970 to 2000 and putting 25% into the s&p500 would have made any Boomer a millionaire now.

Boomers had the easiest era of passive investing in history and the majority of them still wasted it.

>t. boomer

This is not about fucking gibs. It's so bad that boomers have literally set up an institution of "seeking arrangement" where they hoard wealth and rape millennial/zoomer college women, to pay for their massively inflated tuition costs. Then they try to dump their shit real estate for 5,000% increase with no real increase in value, only deterioration. These boomers in politics (and in the voting booth) also sold out our future to the chinese who are now fortified to lead the world in all technology sectors (see Made in China 2025 and their plan for an AI breakthrough in 2030). Future hope has been sapped from the nation and has shifted to the east.

All a boomer had to do in order to be very wealthy today was buy almost any major stock in the 60s/70s and just leave it. I can't say the same will be possible now, but one can only hope.

I doubt it's always the case, but every 60+ person I've personally worked with in my kitchen days were working because they needed something to do. I really hope that trend is dying down because young uneducated people that don't get social security checks still need to make a living and low skill jobs are growing more and more scarce every day.
