I dont know. I do know that HSBC is the custodian of GLD and possible multiple sub costodians. If the metal isnt there you are SOL. JPmorgan is the custodian of SLV and same sub custodian issue. They are up on RICO charges for price manipulation. Sprott has a NAV indicator on their website. Right now PHYS is -1.5%. Thats right, you can buy gold today for 1.5% below spot. Sprott only has one custodian. The royal canadian mint. The trustee owns the metal and has a fiduciary duty to trustee unit holders.
