Nigger I was -50k at 25 and I'm on pace to be a millionaire before 35

You are probably in the financial top 5% of everyone your age. You could stick that $20k in some Boomer index fund, contribute a few hundred a week to it, and be a millionaire before you're 40

That's exactly what I'm doing, I've got 4 k in my roth IRA (boomer index funds), and once I max that out for this year I'm going to start a taxable account and put even more money in more boomer index funds.

Right? There will be fluctuations, and the gains won't be as sexy as can be achieved with specific trades, but as long as they keep inflating the money supply the stock market will go up. It's the laziest gains ever. And that's not even counting the tax benefits.

Bonus points if you do basic stuff like converting to money market funds during crashes and then back into index funds once the recovery starts. I picked up an extra 15% this year just from half-assedly timing the Rona dip.

31 Year old here. Own my own home $500k market value and have that same amount in equities. Add to that low six figures in a 401k. I can say that not getting married and staying away from divorce rape is the number 1 direct path to success. In order to make it you cannot be hampered by a roastie. I invest everything outside of my car payment and taxes. Also I have been maxing out a boomer fidelity 401k since I was 22.

I have 140k left on the mortgage. I could stroke a check tomorrow and pay it off. But I have that money in some undervalued blue chips right now. The interest rate is so low that I really am torn whether or not to be 100% debt free or not. I think I can do well with stonks in the next year and then pay it off. Not gonna lie bros I havent felt this good in a few years. Don't let them tell you that you need some wife to be happy. Financial freedom is far better. A few of my friends who are married are pretty miserable. One is divorced and lost his house at 33. Not a good position to be in bros. Be careful out there

I resigned from my job this week because of the stress. They're letting me work 1 day/week at $125/hr. Fortunately I'm very frugal so that one day/week will sustain me without issue, and now I've got plenty of free time to pursue other interests. I've got the savings/investments to provide additional security. I won't ever be filthy rich, but I am considering this "made it".

you can have a nice girlfriend (not legal wife, wedding ceremony is fine tho) and have financial success. really sounds like youre trying to rationalize being alone by pretending like you can't and that you have to pick one or the other.
