muh inflation is bad
Inflation is very healthy for an economy, it encourages spending and creates greater circulation of wealth within the nation. This has literally always been the case.

That must be why there are all those charts showing that once we left the gold standard and started just printing money the wealth gap got smaller.

its so good that banks are on the brink of having negative rates on savings
WOW thats so cool

Ah, I see. That makes sense from a consoomer's perspective. But I see money as a tool for investing; something to be processed in order to make more money.

exactly and most people are short term instant gratification seekers so having even a slightly logical incentive to spend immediately just tips them over the normie scale

>> No.21066517

Printing is necessary because of interest. Without monetary creation interest becomes impossible to pay (money velocity can't go up infinitely). In practice this means artificial deflation that lowers prices not from better production but from shrinking money supply, which transfers wealth from productive people to cash hoarders.

The current monetary system is great, the problem is with everything else.

It's no surprise people have no grasp on how central banks actually operate these days, even the course books in econ are outdated.

The monetary system is merely forced to pick up the slack of the regulative and fiscal branch and it's amazing to see the paradigm change. Now we just need to see what collapses first
