The supply was finally all locked up and Crypto.com would have had to purchase tokens which would create upwards price motion, but instead they just swapped it for a coin with a higher supply. To make sure the data provided are accurate, nodes must hold link as collateral. If they provide false informations, they lose their link. The more value the contract have, the more link will be paid and the bigger the collateral needs to be.

That's where you play your part. You are lending them your linkies to use as collateral, and they pay you with a fraction of the linkies they get paid with.
The catch of course is that not only your linkies are blocked during stacking, but they are collateral. If the Oracle provide false informations, you will lose your linkies.
