Alright guys. I want to share a secret with you. A secret about how to tell which cryptos will perform well and which won’t.

It’s simple really. It’s all in the name.

Is the name marketable? Can you see Normans uttering it out loud?

Let’s dig in:
>bitcoin
The original. Rolls of the tongue. Had a commanding name. Will be around forever. Same with ethereum.

>chainlink (Link)
The name describes its utility function. Pleasing to say. Doesn’t sound cringey. Will be around for a long time.

>Ampleforth
What on god’s green earth were they thinking? What a hideous name. This is exactly how you know it’s a scam and will never ever go anywhere. Can you actually see mainstream adoption of something named AMPLEFORTH? Jesus.

>ripple/xrp
Ripple has a nice whimsical feel that rolls of the tongue. And xrp is a VERY commanding abbreviation. It just sounds so official. Xrp 2k eoy.

>statera
Yuck. Wtf. Stupid hideous name. Will never be worth anything.

>Band
Keeping an eye on this one. On the fence. Utility function in the name. Doesn’t make you cringe to say it. But also sounds like such a copycat of chainlink. Will be looking more into this one.

Now that you know my foolproof strategy, the moon is the limit for you.

I'm retarded and this makes sense. Well done OP

Band is a copycat in the sense they’ll build what Chainlink should’ve built the entire time which is an open source oracle with no middleman Sirgay company. Only problem is it hasn’t really been built yet so it’s just memes right now

I actually mentioned it in my first point about bitcoin. But I’m happy to elaborate. “Ethereum” actually sounds pretty gay. Ngl. HOWEVER, a powerful abbreviation can save a coin — and “eth” seems to have a pretty pleasing visual and even sound to it when you say it.

Ethereum sounds enigmatic and mysterious. This is why it has always been stuck between making it and crashing.

EXACTLY. this anon understand my post. See my elaboration on eth above. It’s so on the fence.

fair enough, I have wondered at nominative determinism assigning roles
ex. BAT being a reliable swing trade coin, "swing bat"

I can almost see that. I’ll move it to the fence and keep an eye on it. Certainly not as bad as AMPLEFORTH and iExec.

ethereum is a 4 syllable name, very hard to pull off. I do believe the abbreviation is strong enough to keep it going

Why the fuck did they add "forth" to ample? If it was just Ample it would have been top 5 mkt cap. Ample sounds good and it means "enough, satisfactory." Also the abbreviation of AMPs is fantastic - it's electric and packs a punch. Ampleforth sounds like the name of a trust fund 90lb faggot who is addicted to coke and crys when his daddy doesn't send his weekly 10k.

Tbh it’s probably the most hideous name in the whole crypto market. As soon as I first heard of it and started seeing it shilled here, I literally knew in my bones it was a steaming pile of scam shit and wouldn’t go anywhere.
