You will need someone (in my case parents) to take care for you for about 36 hours because those will be hell and you will be effectively blind (or at around 10%) for about 96h.
I don't regret it tough. I have 100% and 0.0 dioptrien on my right eye and 98% and something like -0.125 on my left eye. Huge improvement in life quality also since I don't need lenses anymore.
It took me about 3 months tough and not the 2-4 weeks like the doctor said to get rid of dry eyes but they will just give you different eye drops that heal the very last rest of haze.
