Market is shooting up beyond anything realistic, indicating a near-guaranteed pullback. My indicator is particularly liberal and almost only ever triggers before a 20%+ loss on TQQQ. it is looking it's going to trigger. VXX (any VIX ETF really) goes WAY up beyond measure when that happens (before crashing back down fast), making it a fantastic way to capitalize on this, if it happens. If it doesn't happen, the maximum loss VIX could potentially have is less than -50%, and that happens over long periods of time unlike the spikes, so it's an absolutely fantastic RR. Best way I found to play inverse markets without getting burned on actually shorting the market (also has far better returns).
Other indicators being breached include simple stdev/bollinger indicators. While less reliable, they lead support to the pullback thesis.
Finally, the specific pattern (green followed by green gapup) has historically always led to a correction and/or dump on TQQQ.
As usual, past performance yadda yadda, but I follow my system, alea jacta est.

Because my indicator is calculated based on today's end of day value, including post-market. I don't want to sell before the indicator actually triggers, even if it's so close you can smell the trigger, because if it doesn't trigger, and there is a correction, that correction is usually rather small (max -10%) and short (no more than a week), and it's not guaranteed there's a correction until the trigger actually hits, so it's actually better to hold.

It's min-maxing. My system is usually really good at avoiding the really bad crashes and keeping the really good gains, far more than just b&h. Of course, it's also more work, and especially, far more psychologically demanding.
Also, I haven't had the chance to thoroughly test my system in real-time on a live crash/recovery instead of super-bullrun.
