Updated user numbers will come out in a few days. I'm forecasting by October first that brave will have 19m users. It might not sound like much but that is a massive amount of growth. Publisher ads and the self serve dashboard look like they are close so brave will start to scale massively in the trillion dollar ad market. Not sure how you can't see it.

Even /g/ doesn't like this ...

>By August 2016, the company had received at least US$7 million in angel investments from venture capital firms, including Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, Propel Venture Partners, Pantera Capital, Foundation Capital, and the Digital Currency Group.
Here’s an archived version of Brave’s Wikipedia article in case that information disappears somehow See the section #Business model
https://web.archive.org/web/20200227000950/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_(web_browser)

Peter Thiel is the chairman of Palantir Technologies. Wikipedia describes Palantir Technologies like this:
https://web.archive.org/web/20200128121847/https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palantir_Technologies
>Palantir Technologies is a private American software company that specializes in big data analytics. Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, it was founded by Peter Thiel, Nathan Gettings, Joe Lonsdale, Stephen Cohen, and Alex Karp.

Further along the Wikipedia article, some interesting stuff starts coming up
>The company is known for three projects in particular: Palantir Gotham, Palantir Metropolis and Palantir Foundry. Palantir Gotham is used by counter-terrorism analysts at offices in the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) and United States Department of Defense, fraud investigators at the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, and cyber analysts at Information Warfare Monitor, while Palantir Metropolis is used by hedge funds, banks, and financial services firms.
Which is really concerning. This is also in line with how Brave whitelists Facebook and Twitter tracking scripts while advertising itself as a privacy conscious browser. Behavior of this is like a honeypot.

the browser is shit and everything about it is fundamentally shit and lies the only reason anyone would use it is if they think they will somehow make money off it and then they might as well use MS Explorer with no ad blocker. When you look to see how much you need to use the browser to make even the equivalent of a dollar of BAT it's a complete fucking joke and it's assured that will always be the scale

>> No.21976614

When I decided to use brave browser it was because of privacy issues. Reading about their BAT and reward program I thought „ok whatever“.
Yesterday I transferred 35€ in BAT to my wallet.
I earned money from browsing the internet. It’s real.

What inspires someone to write such a dumb, baseless post? Are you a fag who feels wronged by Brendan? Are you fudding to accumulate more? I don't see any other possible explanation to take time out of your day to write something that is just plain wrong. You don't even believe what you wrote.
>the browser is shit and everything about it is fundamentally shit
It's literally chrome with a reskin and extra features, how can it be shit?

>When you look to see how much you need to use the browser to make even the equivalent of a dollar of BAT it's a complete fucking joke
You mean a few days? Not sure why anyone would be so demanding about the amount of free money they get. I have $50 of BAT for doing something I would do anyway, I don't care how long it took me.

Yes, you can, but the Reward System still does not work fully. I, for one, can’t claim the tokens and can’t verify the wallet. It shows a lot of tokens in the “waiting line” but no access.
