I replaced my junky old mattress recently and today I got myself a standing desk converter and finally got lifting shoes like I always wanted

Normally I always say "maybe someday but I don't technically really NEED it"

Good call on improving your quality of life.
You only have one back and it surprisingly fails on you really early on if you don't take care of it. I got a tempurpedic mattress for this reason. I haven't felt lower back pain in a long ass time. Your body is an investment not an expenditure or money sink. The whole goal is to make your body last as long as possible.
