Pieces would be made like modular houses in different areas then stuck together "like lego". That was an actual quote from them. A decade later they started building these pieces. Yeah, usually people figure out that they have to buy at a later expiry date. My rule of thumb is "Pick a strike price and expiry date then stretch that expiry date 2-3x times out" Been more profitable since.
