>>I'm bullish AF, but under what circumstances would we see miners hit high multiples of their 2011 ATH's?

Explained how this may be the case in this post:

>>22372641

"When silver doubled between '62 and '68, the average silver penny stock went up 160x. If we revert to a GSR of 1:15 silver will do much more than double, -- inflation-adjusted for the 1980 ATH, it would be $600 today -- so 100-400x for companies like Impact is completely possible to me. Even companies like DSV, with market caps of half a billion, could go 50x and become the Kirkland Lakes of silver."

One source for 160x figure: https://www.historylink.org/File/8883

It's also interesting to note that, in the 2001-2011 bull market, the _index_ of _all_ gold stocks, including bad miners and large caps, went up 1700%.

boomer here. Nobody knows. I got fucked in the last crisis by buying gold at 1500 when everyone said it was going to moon like they are now. I since bought when it was cheaper so I'm sitting good, but, expect the possibility to have some very heavy bags for a long time. The fact of the matter is the gold and silver bugs are a bunch of alarmists and are basically worthless to listen to. You should listen to you. If you are stacking for a long time horizon, then do that. I think in a time horizon of 20-30 years it's a good investment.

The mining stocks you are asking about are volatile and you might have your lunch handed to you on those. All about risk tolerance.

I never in a million years thought that inflation would be stopped not by an unwillingness to print, but rather an inability to agree what to print FOR.

It's not likely something we're going to be able to anticipate. I'm not saying I'm some expert investor (although I have done fairly well, at least out performed the market by a few % especially if you include tax efficiency, over the last twenty years), I'm just saying that there isn't a whole lot new going on now it's just in a new scale. When we did the post 2008 QE that was crazy also, we just keep reaching new levels of crazy. Clown world has been around for a while.

>>22383873
Maybe this time is different, I'm just saying don't count on it. Buy a certain amount each year and forget about it. There were wild money policies in the last crisis, and the pinch in supply was the big call to action for people to buy in the last run up.

We also don't really know how bad corona is yet. The 2008 crisis really started in like 2006. I realize corona isn't the same thing, but, where shit really shits the fan is not when the incident happens - corona or house prices going down - it's when it starts to test the increasingly leveraged financial systems in new ways. So in that timeline we are only in late 2006. Right now we also have an interesting circumstance where we don't have a tight group of people that need a bailout (yet) like the banks and AIG were - where we could really pinpoint where to spend to save the day - now it seems to be spread across a myriad of different industries and small, medium and large businesses.

I just don’t think that DC, especially the Rs, understand how important continued support of that nature is. You can’t have an economy where the average person is living paycheck to paycheck and then prevent them from collecting paychecks for 6 months. $1200 ain’t gonna cut

Your fear is one of the best arguments for investment. Nobody is afraid of Tesla or the QQQ. Bull markets climb a wall of worry. Mainstream stocks are more overvalued than ever before in human history, while miners are more undervalued than ever before in human history.

The fundamentals are as plain as day:

Can the governments of the world ever escape their debt-traps? No.

Does this mean that paper-currency must go to zero? Yes.

What becomes the only safe haven when paper-currency is going to zero? Precious metals.

Who dig up precious metals? Mining companies.

Based boomer. Yep I remember the squawking of the metalbugs in '10-'12 but my instincts didn't agree so I didn't really stack, just hunted around buying up cheap silver (some gold) to sell profitably and fast. Did quite well desu and started an online business with proceeds, but now things are very fundamentally different so my instincts have been going nuts since the end of January so Ive been stacking and scrapping at a prodigious rate this year.

It's taken some conscious effort to make sure I diversify and get miners, gold, and resource sector exposure too because all my gut truly cares about is silver ingots. Probably not wrong either but I'm already autistic enough lol, gotta hedge bets and protect myself from myself ya know?

Got little babies now and I desperately want them and their own children to have the best lives I can secure so my stacking is ultimately all for them, IDGAF about getting rich I just want a happy healthy secure family and a wholesome rest of my life raising heirloom vegetables and fruits and chickens on the homestead. I'll die a happy man if at the end of my days I still have garden dirt caked under my nails and a happy prosperous family to carry on living the good life for me. At this point, I'll affirm that pulling a rabbit out of a hat is impossible. The bankers' only ammunition was cutting yields with Q. E., and yields are now really negative. And debts are large, balance-sheets so enormous, asset-bubbles so colossal, that yields can never go really positive again, only more and more down. Unless we suppose that our ruling class are willing to crash stocks by 95%, destroy the banks with everyone's savings inside them, and cut every socialist programme in existence, there won't be another Volcker to let yields go up and heal the economy. And even if there was, the dollar would instantly lose its status as the world-reserve currency, and gold, as the only other tier-1 asset in the world, would resume that former place as money which it has occupied for 5000 years.

Yes this is true. Pink erasers contain abrasives which do scratch coins, white softer rubber erasers, like in mechanical pencils, tend not to leave visible marks though you need to make sure the eraser and coin are clean and grit free.

Bullion coins aren't true numismatics so it's purely a personal aesthetic issue in my opinion, if you find another sperg who demands mirror finishes and will pay a premium then good for you, but since most bullion just sits in tubes and never circulates like real coin Gem Uncirculated rounds are the norm. Only gullible retards buy slabbed or otherwise overpriced bullion thinking it's actually worth any more than bullion content. Buying for enjoyment is a different matter, but as "investments" they'll never pay off.

If one wants to actually collect worthy high-grade numismatics, search for deals on minty Morgan and Peace dollars and the like, lots are coming into shops and some dealers are either dumb or too busy to look at everything being sold as junk silver. Dad found some scarce $50-$100 value high grade 1930s Washington quarters for his collection last week bought at 20/1.00 face for example. I have a poorfag friend who has basically all his wealth in 20 superb high grade Morgans. Way smarter than collecting slabbed ASEs or taxed memeshit rounds.

Yeah, that's what I was saying about 2009 being targeted bailouts, versus today it is more spread out. I'm not saying today isn't ugly, I'm just saying that as time goes on the clown world builds more and more extreme - and that doesn't tell us that the end is here. We may kick the problem down the road for another decade. If that happens, then we might be overpaying for PMs for a while. That's why you just buy a certain amount each year just like you would any other investment strategy - be it index funds or corp bonds or whatever.

Gave the case for BHS in another thread, I'll just repeat the post:

1) Bayhorse Silver provides you with a 100%-controlled real working silver mine, in a safe jurisdiction (Oregon), at a ridiculously cheap market-cap of only $20 million. (Compare this with the $3 billion market cap of First Majestic, or the market-caps of many explorers which are 10x higher, but don't even have a mine yet.)

2) The CEO of Bayhorse owns a large number of the shares himself, and passionately believes in the project.

3) He spent $7 million in getting the mine to work, via a creative use of technology, as against the $20-30 million which would ordinarily have been expected. He is very careful with money.

4) He has been interviewed by silver bulls like David Morgan, and is trusted in the silver community.

5) There are 4 PhD geologists working on the project.

6) We know of at least 6.4 million ounces in reserve, but this number is based on outdated information, and is likely to be substantially higher; at least double.

7) Besides the Bayhorse property in Oregon, BHS has a second property called Brandywine with considerable exploration potential. Ten diamond drill holes are planned there. Visible gold was found in Brandywine samples taken in 2019.

if you missed last nights' threads - i started a store oldsilver.ru with nazi/ussr/russian empire stuff, and since the payment for now is done through crypto only, the general pushback is quite understandable.
but 3 anons placed their orders anyway, and in order to celebrate this great occasion i'll be giving away 5 silver coins tonight (midnight here).
i've thought how to better do the raffle and the most logical solution is this - get a throwaway email and subscribe to newsletter on oldsilver.ru
in around 5-6 hours i'll use some random picker thing to pick 5 winners, and email them for shipping info afterwards.
coins will all be different including a picrelated one

feel free to unsubscribe afterwards.

Don't buy gold with a bank. It's a scam. The gold is "unallocated," meaning that you hold a claim on the bank, not on the bullion itself. They will pay you in worthless paper when the system collapses. GLD and SLV function in the same manner.

To purchase allocated or segregated bullion, which you actually possess as your own private property, outside the banking system, all these services are better: GoldMoney, BullionVault, OneGold, GoldSwitzerland, Sprott's PHYS and PSLV, Andrew Maguire's Kinesis.

I know there are some macro lurkers on pmg so I wonder has this ever been discussed before:

>US Central Bank Digital Currency (US CBDC)
As I keep diving deeper, I'm really surprised how stealth this is. It was even included at first in the March stimulus proposal, then they took it out for some reason.

HR6321 introduced by Rep. Waters, Maxine D-CA-43. Check this out:
>TITLE 1 SEC. 101. DIRECT STIMULUS PAYMENTS FOR FAMILIES
So pic is related and direct source is below. Basically, a Fed crypto was proposed to send gibs to plebs. It gets intersting under (5) FUNDING:
>The Secretary of the Treasury shall, before each monthly payment required under subsection (a), notify the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System of the aggregate amount of such payment, and the Board of Governors shall issue notes in such amount and transfer such notes to the Secretary of the Treasury for use in making such payments.

This is now literally the definition of printing money. I have been skeptical on the PM case because QE prints bank reserves which actually relate to lower inflation levels. This is a game changer and something we really need to watch

There is more,

On June 11th, there was another congress meeting
>Task Force on Financial Technology: Inclusive Banking During a Pandemic: Using FedAccounts and Digital Tools to Improve Delivery of Stimulus Payments
Here it was suggested that FedCoins and FedAccounts can be interest-bearing. Subtly suggesting that they can bear NEGATIVE interest if this were deemed necessary for monetary policy, which in todays' circumstances would certainly be implemented. The balance in your account would be losing value over time, incentivizing you to consoom.

At present, QE depends on the commercial banking system to do the actual money printing. Current QE effort is destroying money. Current Fiscal spending (i.e. stimulus) is not coming from printed money, but rather from debt issuance which eventually comes from taxes, so no direct inflation of the money supply happens.

Hard to explain but basically this US CBDC proposal will allow direct money printing without relying on commercial banks as intermediaries.

Look through the PDF from >>22388846 and on page 22 it gets into how they plan to do this without pissing off the bankers.

Who knows? Sacrifices, a class to rule over, a resource to harvest, a crop to pull the cream from in the future... I'm not privy to the machinations of the elite. At this point, chalking all the shit going on in the world up to serendipitous stupidity on the part of those who govern us is indistinguishable from what it would look like if they were intentionally moving us toward that dystopian nightmare future.

Rules of the galactic federation are that you have to get to 1.5 billion members of an ape descended species before they contact select leaders, then you have to get to 10 billion before they make public contact and give you FTL travel.

The problem is that this is a deliberate n00b trap on their part to get shitty species to die off because they always just feed their dumbest sub populations and let them breed to infinity in the hopes that it'll get them into the club. It always ends up collapsing and keeping that species from getting off-world because they used their peak industrial era to propagate the spic-nig cycle on their world to get FTL gibs, rather than develop FTL themselves.

The premium is high due to the cost of manufacturing them. They are meant for a very niche market and not necessarily to get exposure to gold (although it still does, the premiums sort of overshadow that). They are really meant to be used as an alternative currency to fiat and not meant as an investment. When you factor that into it, the premiums sort of make sense

Senate democrats rejected the republican stimulus bill today. Get ready for more Big Red Candles.

Dont get me wrong, I am not knocking them, and I do expect them to go higher, but they are only 4-5$ lower then the 2011 bull run days.

When companies do millions of share sales at a set price I have noticed this actually suppresses the price sometimes... if they hit 11-12$ a share I am def going to throw some cash their way though for a shorter term play.

seems like a good deal
1 merc dime is 2.5g with 90% silver, so 10 dimes asw = 0.723oz
so ase + this is 1.72oz = 46 dolllars melt value
but ase has high premium + fractional silver is a good idea for dem blowjobs later

They obviously do, the recent events and comex shitfest is a proof. Under-the-table metal deals and knocking the price down with paper, the miners get shit, the rich get all the metal. Best thing we can do is accumulate at these cheap prices with them. The only problem would be if they plan to do that for more than 50 years, eventually the price discovery would have to kick in. I just want to still be alive when that happens.

Right now the low price does not allow for silver recovery to really be profitable. So all that silver that goes in to technology just disappears.
From what I understand silver mines are not that plentiful most of the silver being a byproduct of other mining activity and the amount of silver being mined is not that large.
Sooner or alter what is underground will not be sufficient and the above ground demand will require recycling.
The price will be forced to increase but like you I just hope its before I die.

Man some of you guys are straight retarded. Stop buying shit because people shill them. You're probably going to be extremely late to the trade, and you might buy some absolute dogs. We're extremely lucky at pmg that all the retarded shills and pumpers for terrible companies are called out but the mentality of buying what's shilled and not doing your own homework will ruin you soon enough.

And Rob McEwen is one of the greatest mining CEOs of all time. Their properties and financials honestly suck and the whole proposition is a bet on Rob who takes no salary and who has an extremely high share entry price. You couldn't have been more wrong.
