Our company accountant is afraid of my Father for some reason and calls me, instead of him, to ask small or whatever things related to his business. I use my Father’s office space to run my own business and occasionally assist my Father so i know his biz.

The accountant is young (23-24) and my Father is a retired officer turned business owner. Its all kinda based but now I am irritated. Slowly all staff have started to come to me for petty things. For major decisions they still ask him (obviously) but for retard tier shit like deciding day to day travel allowance they come to me. Its a mid sized company doing $5m in rev annually on average.

What should I do?

>be employee
>see that owner has son in operations
>see that inevitable changeover of ownership
>want to get in good with son
>begin asking him for various instructions
>hope to get on his good side and establish rapport
>also unconsciously groveling because asking for basic permissions is a sign of subservience

tell your dad to sell the company when he retires. you obviously have no understanding of social dynamics.

Your dad is either a dick or they find it really hard to talk to him. It's a nice feeling when someone comes to you instead of the guy in charge, just think of yourself as the guy in command.

huehuehue in the same boat bro. They don't want to ask your dad because its not his job. Im assuming he has more important shit to worry about than if sally can get a 200$ hotel room instead of 180$. Sounds like he needs some general manager for that stuff.

I am just preoccupied these days with my own business so sometimes it’s irritating to take all those petty calls thats all. I know I shouldn’t be complaining, its a good problem to have

Why do you call your father retired? He can't help it some people are born without oxygen in their brain you shouldn't be so hateful about it.

all the best bosses are total assholes.
but they have to be that way to keep their ship pristine.
if they have a pristine ship and are assholes, they're great bosses.
if their ship is shit, and they're assholes.. they're shitty bosses.
that's the truth.
