How do you decide what to do in life when you have no network connections, no degree, and no hobbies?

>> No.224090

Also I'm a digusting britfag

>> No.224098

You quit being a no-life faggot and go find one. Get a sociable hobby, Meet new friends, Ta-dah new people that can hopefully get you in on a job they know about because they know someone.

Almost everyone I know has a job because of friends/relatives put in a good word. Also that is true for me as an employer as I have only hired friends/friends of friends. So good luck faggot connections really are everything in the job world.

What do you REALLY want OP?

People to kill?
Things to see?
Do you want to create things that kill?
Do you seek admiration?
Perhaps you seek freedom or power?

If you "don't know" what you want, you are a liar and what you want isn't on your mind at the moment. Perhaps you should turn to crime and hope for a swift death. Protip: Do not allow yourself to become captured, you are likely to exchange immediate life-threatening danger for having it stolen from you more slowly and painfully (prison). You would likely rather die, it's the same thing really.

>> No.224255

That's actually a really good answer.

Get in shape. Get job training. Network. Get out after 4-6 years and get paid to go to school or retire after 20 years.Use the connections you made to get a better job on the outside. You also get a ton of benefits and pretty sweet IRA (TSP).

You just have to have a high tolerance for bullshit and know EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT TO DO before talking to a recruiter. Make sure it's in your contract and don't get sold on some other bullshit MOS.

I'm afraid of finally choosing something to commit to, only to start hating it or not making any money.
Everything I like is humanities type creative shit, but every sensible person seems to have gone into a STEM field.
I'm so torn between choosing what I want to do and going into a money earning major. I've never been good at math but I don't know if its just that I'm stupid or I've never really tried. I just don't want to make the wrong decision, and I'm basically on my own as my family has no money.

These types of posts usually get hostile answers, but I'll give it a shot. Has anyone here been in a similar situation? Did you choose money or enjoyment? Are there any books or websites or anything I can read up on to help me decide on what to do with my life?
