FM might actually be a great buy at the current price. It tanked down to $9.50 and to me it looks like the most undervalued miner out there. Especially compared to all the ponzi juniors who x5'd since YTD, Majestic is just below what it was a year ago, yet have far better fundamentals than most others miners, and a great management team.
Also Sprott buying for $75M of FM shares last week will surely help build up more confidence for the months to come if a big guy like him consider AG to be undervalued. He bought at $11.60. Should have waited one more week for the dip though, he'd have saved a dozen millions USD lol.

The only thing stopping me from going balls deep is the tax regulation issue with the mexican gubment, apparently it's a pain in the ass to deal with them and could not end up so well for Majestic. Also the recent share dillution will probably slow down the potential moon mission.

Anyway, i think i'll progressively DCA about 100 shares in the incoming days as long as the price stay below 10 bux. It make me feel smart to buy for cheaper than billionaires like Sprott. But i'm a total noob about stonks, so if others anons have some extra insight please tell me if it's a good idea or if i'm retarded.

he actually paid more for them then that IIRC the video i posted has the amount, in CAD tho, i have the TSX ticker for first majestic as opposed to the NYSE one.

IMO the tax issue isnt a huge thing, it may actually be a hidden blessing, as it means many hedge funds/institutions cannot throw money at FM until it is resolved. IE cheapies for longer, then when it gets resolved, price goes up. Worst case scenario FM pays 200 mill in taxes, but I doubt it will be that bad, and they have a solid chance to win the case.

LOL I bought them right before silver prices crashed and the tax news came out, kinda harsh, but long term not too worried about it.

win some, lose some.

just a shake down for $$, its really not that much in the scope of things. FM just paid 500 mill for a property that will earn them 1.7 billion even if silver falls to 20$ per oz, this properties prev owners had some tax issues.

IIRC FM actually won the previous court case but mexican government is being a socialist small dicked twatwaffle and just said fuck you pay me, so its going to international court. I expect it to end as a shakedown for a few tens of mill and thats that.

mmgfren, if you read this as promised i purchased a bunch of silver coins (2x 25 britannia) and it felt so good to finally add some extra weight to my stack!
Glad i waited another week for this dip, even though the prices didn't moved much for physical (i payed $28/oz, it was the cheapest silver i could find) i still ended up saving 4 bux or so per ounce, so i wont complain!
Can't believe i managed to live without buying silver for so long lol. We GMI fren!

CASHLESS PAYMENTS ARE ABOUT INFLATION

When even a large minority still use notes, there is a limit to how much inflation will be tolerated by the general public: consider the clichéd moaning pensioner. The banks can issue new banknotes every decade or so, with the denominations ever larger and size of the smallest notes ever smaller, to make the public feel as though for example a £5 note is “supposed” to be worthless today, whereas it used to be this giant white thing (pic related).

They still had to limit inflation though, it couldn’t be too noticeable within the period of a note series’ issue. But if they get rid of banknotes entirely the public can become used to and accepting of even massive annual inflation. Banknotes used to limit this, because everyone had an idea of what a given note was supposed to buy at least for a while. Who is to say anymore that you should be able to live off of £50 a week? Who is to say anymore that £5 “should” buy a morning snack and a newspaper? If you suddenly need £100 digital pounds a week to live and that snack and paper now cost £20, well that will just be the new normal and without a psychological anchor to the old prices it will be easier for people to accept a 50p, £1, £2 increase, not over decades or years anymore, but perhaps within a single year.

It’s somewhat upsetting to consider now that a 10/. note (half a pound) used to a valuable enough amount of money to be worthy of its own banknote (admittedly a small one, like the modern £5). This kind of thing is perhaps mere historical trivia but it has real world consequence for you and me over our lifetime.

So I have some extra spending money with the way my finances are going. Got a few hundred a fortnight to play with.

So I thought it might be interesting to collect something that is worthwhile. Buying silver has interested me for a while, so I thought I might start buying.

I live in Australia and I am only about 5 minutes away from Swan Bullion and again not far off the Perth mint. So I can buy from them without worrying about shipping overheads.

But what I am interested in is what the more experienced buyers would recommend buying for starting purposes. Are coins better than bars is there any other places that are better than others to purchase from?

Me too, I told them I wanted the full set but they have been stingy lol. Tried getting 6 of the 6 ounce bars made last time (autism) but they must've misunderstood and only made me one, the rest were 10oz and 1 ozs. Probably get ripped off outside the Netherlands, however my refinery evidently only starts charging more for refining when purity goes below 70% so I'd basically consider Dutch .720 as interchangeable on an ASW basis with junk coin, unlike war nickels and 40% halves which cost rather more to refine.

I still have some though, as I was able to snag below spot private sales from time to time, in which case yeah grab all you can.

Arguably whenever you buy coins instead of bars or the cheapest rounds you can find, you're stepping out of pure metal investment and into collecting/numismatics.

People tend to like junk because it has character, it's more fun to collect, and you can fuck around with it a bit more and it's okay, it's usually already tarnished and so you don't have that dreaded feeling when your new generic ASEs or Britannia's get a few milk spots or a scratch or two.

Basically, no, collecting junk usually can't be fully justified rationally, but shit is fun. So many countries, so much variety. And if you are getting away from bars, they are the most satisfying to stack slash collect.

I'm thinking they might, because of the sensible logic that led to them changing proof sets (which were the main use for .900 alloy) to the same stock as the ASE. It just costs more to get two different alloys made and delivered. Then, .900 silver requires different pressures to get good strikes, so there's extra set-up costs, etc.

Adding on to what Anon >>22861111 said, it's a great way to get fractional silver for smaller 'premiums'. Having it helps people remember that silver is money as well, because it's old quarters and dimes. Bullion would be the tougher sell, honestly, because most people aren't familiar with it.

Aurcana management has a bad record. They perpetually diluted their shareholders for years with no communication. Used to be the most hated stock on ceo. I encourage people to investigate this. As for Mexico fud, Canada is just as likely to nationalize when it has no central bank reserves.

But yes, I own both stocks as well, simply prefer Impact by far.

This Keith dude is starting to sound more and more like a shill. I'm convinced this shit isn't going to moon that hard. Also, why does he spend all this time dialing into random video interviews with literal nobodies? Is this how weak the PM industry is on the inside? Crypto is more exciting than this dude talking DESU.

That's another reason I had to buy pic related when I saw it. Judge could tell the charges were dumb, and so made the sentence as light as he could and granted early release ASAP.

Still takes balls to call out the Fed and fight 'em head on, though.

Yeah it was the 10 ounce kook that had a pair of baby ones. Was it you? Premium is just too high since they're numismatic but like I said, if silver dumps again I'll consider getting one. I picked up a lot of the mother and baby 2 ouncers but the finish is more matte on them not as shiny

Yeah that was me. I got the kilo and 1oz size of that 2013 design too. Premium is high, but I rationalized it. I also ordered the 2020 mother and baby design. I'll post stack when it arrives.

Indeed and checked fren.

Got this vintage Peruvian sterling silver condor paperweight thing yesterday and just polished it up a bit. Bought for 29.35 total with tax assuming the base was weighted and half was crap but happily it's 124 grams of "solid" unweighted sterling hollowware. Figure I'll keep it for now instead of melting because it's a rather goofy amusing piece.
